The VMI Specialist Level 1 is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by managing inventory at designated customer sites. This includes product put-away, scanning, replenishment of VMI and vending solutions, Lean (6S) practices, and maintaining functional solution equipment. The role collaborates closely with sales and business development teams to drive customer retention and incremental revenue through effective solution support. Maintain appropriate stock levels (min/max) to meet customer demand. Receive, unpack, and put away products at all solution points of use. Perform basic repairs and maintenance on solution equipment to company standards. Use routing software to log and track daily account activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with customer contacts to ensure solution retention. Communicate professionally and promptly with key customer personnel. Promote MSC customer loyalty through solution support and CARE program execution (Clean, Arrange, Relationships, Exceeded Expectations). Maintain 6S standards in all solution areas. Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols. Stay current on MSC's inventory management solutions through ongoing training. Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings. Accurately track time using MSC-approved time management tools. Safely operate and maintain company-assigned vehicle per Fleet Policy. Follow all MSC policies and procedures. Contributes to the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose. Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required. Qualifications What You Need: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Strong customer service orientation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and general computer literacy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: Experience in inventory management or customer service preferred. Relevant military experience is a plus. Familiarity with mobile business applications preferred. Technical and mechanical aptitude is a plus. Other Requirements: A valid driver's license may be required. Position requires 80%+ travel. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, bending, standing for long periods). Willingness to comply with customer safety and PPE protocols. This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information ("ITAR") and/or Controlled Unclassified Information ("CUI"). Compensation starting at $ 20.00 - $ 21.50 depending on candidate location and experience. The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change. We seek a team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment to perform various manual and mechanical duties to move a variety of raw materials throughout our Customer Fulfillment Center. HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE You will have a hands-on role in our warehouse to ensure delivery of our vast product line to our valued customers. Load, unload, and move product by hand, by skid, or by cart. Put away all required product, including DOT items, to bins and racks. Verify products using item numbers, descriptions and quantity, and inspect boxes and product for damage or improper packaging. Scans labels into warehouse computer system. Stage product for put-away bins, overstock or racks. Consolidate racks, and move and stage totes/skids for re-use. Operate basic (i.e., electric pallet jack, forklift) and advanced (i.e., turret truck, order picker) powered equipment. Train cross-functionally in other departments and functions to support business requirements. The role of CNC Cutter/Grinder is to regrind, recondition and/or manufacture cutting tools per instructions. Duties and Responsibilities Displays or possesses the ability to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts CNC program or machine set-up as required. Ability to navigate CNC software and adjust the programs as needed, to grind tools within print specifications. Verifies/inspects conformance of finished work piece to specifications using precision measurement instrumentation. Returns tooling to proper location upon completion of work. Sets up machine and ensure proper safety guarding is in place, before starting work instructions.
