Position Overview:
We are working with a leading Mechanical Contractor in the Reston VA area to find an experienced Sr Mechanical Engineer - MEP. Our client is one of the leading mechanical contractors in the eastern United States. Their construction experience includes a broad range of commercial and government projects, including data centers, hospitals, laboratories, wastewater treatment plants, convention centers, and hotels. Their expertise is in mechanical piping, plumbing, and HVAC / sheet metal projects.
They need a well-qualified, energetic Design Engineer P.E. that will focus on mechanical design-related activities including performing calculations, selecting equipment, and supporting the development of construction documents, such as drawings, specifications and support fieldwork including existing condition surveys, progress field reports, and project close-out punch lists.
The Design Engineer P.E. will plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate the activities and performance of direct reports. This person needs to be a leader who helps to mentor and teach junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:

Group Info: Lead the Equipment Maintenance group supporting the existing and expansion site in Spokane, WA. The group has 4 supervisors for weekday and weekend working 24*7 in 12 hr shifts with a round 20 maintenance Technicians under the 4 supervisors.
This role will report to the Assoc. Director of Maintenance, who will then report to the Sr. Director of Engineering and Maintenance who is over a group of around 80 technical staff.
Note1: The company recently completed their 3rd state-of-the-art Sterile Liquid compounding & Vial Filling line and are currently expanding again with a 4th line at this site.
