Position Description: In the Class A Truck Driver role, you will be responsible for the safe and punctual transportation of freight, following established routes and schedules. On a daily basis, you will perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections, verify cargo, review necessary documentation, and report any mechanical or route incidents. You will also be responsible for keeping the truck clean and in good condition, respecting traffic laws, and adhering to company safety policies. You will maintain fluid communication with the operations team to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and potential changes in planning. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits:
Starting Pay: 20% of the load, with growth opportunities up to 30%.
Bonuses: Options and opportunities for bonuses available.
Training: Training/capacitation is available, and training time is paid.
Requirements:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A).
Mandatory Certifications: Hazardous Materials Endorsement (Hazmat) and Tanker Endorsement.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of previous experience driving Class A trucks.
For one of the openings: Ability and experience driving a 13-speed manual transmission.
For the second opening: Ability and experience driving an automatic transmission.
Ability to handle cargo documentation, bills of lading, and transport guides with attention to detail.
Good physical condition to climb ontop of tailer, secure cargo, and perform basic freight handling tasks.
Strong communication and customer service skills, punctuality, responsibility, and a commitment to highway safety.
Availability to work full-time, with potentially variable shifts, and a commitment to complying with driving hours and rest regulations.
