The Role We seek an enthusiastic, results-driven candidate to serve as a Senior Product Manager within the Retirement team. In this role, you will work with business stakeholders, creative and engineering partners to create compelling, effective, and innovative online experiences that support our Fiduciary Services and Plan Advantage products. Morningstar Plan Advantage allows advisors to manage their retirement plan business through an innovative user interface. Traditional fiduciary services are offered directly to retirement plan providers to allow their retirement plan clients to offer higher quality lineups to their plan participants. We are looking for an assertive, detail-oriented, self-starter who can work effectively in a highly collaborative team setting. This position is based in our Chicago office and follows a hybrid model with a minimum of four days onsite. Job Responsibilities * Own product strategy, roadmap, and product development lifecycle for Fiduciary Services and Plan Advantage (FS/MPA) business * Lead a cross-functional & global development squad to roll out new FS/MPA products and features * Partner with research, methodology and design leaders across the organization to build products that align with the goals for Retirement Plan providers, Broker Dealers and Retirement Advisors * Demonstrates curiosity about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential to improve product experience and client outcomes. * Develop business requirements refined and validated with customers, prioritize conflicting work, and work within an Agile software development framework. * Oversee the development and roll-out of multiple new products and features, and work with marketing, sales, and client service to execute a strategy for ongoing support * Work directly with prospects and clients to create awareness and drive adoption of Morningstar Retirement software within the target segment and to advance specific client opportunities * Demonstrate product capabilities to prospective clients, including functionality and methodology. May serve as an expert for Sales and Client Service and play an active role in product trial, conversion, or sunsetting/migration processes. * Partners with Client Service and Client Solutions to understand clients' feedback on the product. The role is based in New York, New York as part of the Global Structured Finance team. The successful candidate will primarily, under the direction of lead analysts and sector leadership, conduct analytical activities required to assign and monitor ratings for U.S. ABS transactions backed by equipment loans & leases, data centers, franchise/whole business securitizations and other emerging asset classes. Responsibilities include collateral and obligor assessment, performance data analysis, cash flow and structural analysis, operational and counterparty risk assessment, and legal document review. The role offers exposure to highly structured transactions and evolving asset types in a collaborative, client‑facing environment. The candidate should demonstrate strong work ethic, analytical rigor, attention to detail, and the interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external market participants.
