Moog's Military Aircraft Group is expanding its advanced manufacturing capabilities as part of a multi-year transition into a new $40 million manufacturing facility.
To support growing aerospace programs, we're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer with expertise in Mill-Turn machining to develop manufacturing processes, create CNC programs, support production, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both programming and hands-on manufacturing support, with the opportunity to own the process from engineering model through production.

The Work You'll Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer - Mill-Turn, you will:
Create CNC programs, operation sheets, setup documentation, and manufacturing instructions for complex aerospace components Develop machining processes for both new and existing products Define tooling, workholding, gauging, machining sequences, and inspection requirements Support machine prove-outs and troubleshoot machining challenges on the production floor Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, and supplier teams to improve manufacturability and efficiency Recommend tooling improvements, process enhancements, and manufacturing solutions Review engineering models and drawings to identify manufacturing risks and opportunities Estimate setup times, cycle times, tooling requirements, and manufacturing costs Support AS9102 documentation requirements and aerospace quality standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing operations

Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering degree Aerospace manufacturing experience Siemens NX programming experience Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma experience Inspection and quality experience Automation integration experience Experience machining titanium, stainless steel, and aluminumIdeal Candidate
The ideal candidate started their career on the shop floor running and setting up CNC Mill-Turn or Turn-Mill equipment before moving into CNC programming or manufacturing engineering.
You understand the realities of machining, enjoy solving complex manufacturing challenges, and are comfortable supporting programs through prove-out and production while collaborating closely with machinists and engineers.
