The Inventory Specialist plays a vital role in the daily management and maintenance of the dealership’s new and used vehicle inventory. Responsibilities include collaborating with the team to maintain an organized, visually appealing lot; receiving and stocking incoming vehicles; inspecting vehicles for transit damage; coordinating vehicles designated for wholesale; and supporting both the sales and service departments as needed. Ultimately, the Inventory Specialist ensures vehicles are properly positioned and available at the right time to support efficient operations and maximize sales and service effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoiceInspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoiceRecord the description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receiptPark new vehicles in assigned areasCatalog and store keysAssign stock control numbers to carsMove sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keeps the lot in orderDeliver sold vehicles to the vehicle preparation departmentService vehicles in storage to protect tires, battery, and finish against deteriorationOther tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferredProven experience in inventory management or a related fieldDisplay a customer service-based personalityAbility to drive both automatic and manual transmissionsAbility to work outside and on your feet for extended periods of timeEnsures a high level of customer satisfactionAbility to multi-taskReliable Possess a clean and valid driver’s licenseFamiliarity with inventory management software and basic data analysis toolsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
