    The Staff Accountant is an entry or mid-level accounting professional who is responsible for maintaining financial records at a business, usually as part of a team. Their duties include confirming compliance with IRS rules, reconciling bank statements, and balancing the ledger for regular reports.

    What You'll Do (Personnel Duties, Authority, and Responsibilities)

    Review financial statements for accuracy and legal complianceEnter accounting-related information into business logsInspect accounts books for efficiency into business logsOrganize and update financial recordsRecommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenuePerform monthly bank settlementsPrepare documentation for external auditors

    What You Bring (Qualifications)

    Your Impact

    The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. This position works under the Director of Accounting and may also assist with tasks such as tax preparation, auditing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

    What You'll Do (Personnel Duties, Authority, and Responsibilities)

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

    Financial Reporting & General Ledger

    Maintain comprehensive financial records, including the general ledger, account analysis, and monthly reconciliationsPrepare and review journal entries, ensuring all activity is supported by valid documentation and attachmentsReconcile bank statements for all entities in a timely manner and according to established deadlinesManage intercompany accounts, specifically reconciling "Due To/Due From" accounts and making necessary correcting entriesLead daily cash management, including preparing daily cash balance reports and recording/researching banking activity for accuracy

    Accounts Payable & Receivable

    Oversee the AP cycle, ensuring proper expense categorization, GAAP compliance, and vendor database accuracyManage the AR process, ensuring wholesale invoices are accurate and issued timelyMonitor collections by creating weekly AR reports for management and corresponding with customers regarding past-due balancesVendor & Customer Onboarding: Ensure all new partners are properly set up in the accounting system

    Payroll & Compliance

    Payroll Administration: Prepare bi-weekly payroll spreadsheets and enter associated Journal EntriesTax Reporting: Oversee the year-end 1099 process, including preparation, review, and submission each JanuaryAudit Support: Coordinate and prepare documentation for quarterly and annual external audits

    Process Improvement & Team Support

    Proactively initiate process improvements by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes to increase efficiencyCollaborate with the Controller to review financial statements and identify ways to reduce costs or enhance revenueTeam Collaboration: Provide support and training to other accounting team members; cross-train with the Billing Accountant to provide backup coverage

    What You Bring (Qualifications)

    Your Impact

    As a Hybrid Team Member, you are the frontline of our facility's safety and product quality. You will be responsible for protecting our people and property while ensuring our plants receive the elite level of care they need to thrive. Your work ensures a safe, compliant, and pristine environment for our entire operation.

    What You'll DoI. Facility Security & Compliance

    Surveillance & Patrol: Conduct thorough interior and exterior sweeps. Monitor access points using both advanced surveillance systems and active foot patrols.

    Incident Management: Observe and report suspicious activity with precision. Draft clear, detailed incident reports and maintain a professional chain of command.

    Safety Liaison: Act as a point of contact for law enforcement and first responders if necessary, ensuring our safety protocols are always met.

    Team Protection: Partner with managers and staff to foster a culture of safety and proactive security.

    II. Hands-On Cultivation & Plant Care

    Hydration & Nutrition: Execute manual and automated watering schedules. Precisely mix and apply nutrient solutions according to our specific protocols.

    Harvest & Processing: Take an active role in the harvest cycle, including cutting, trimming, and bucking plants with care.

    Data Integrity: Track and catalog strains from clone to harvest. Ensure 100% accuracy in waste tracking for by-products (stems, fan leaves) to maintain state compliance.

    III. Facility Operations & Janitorial

    Operational Support: Assist with opening and closing procedures to ensure the building is secure and ready for business.

    Pristine Standards: Maintain hygienic floors and organized workspaces. Cleanliness is a core component of both security and cultivation success.

    What You Bring

    Compliance Ready: Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain/maintain a Facility Agent card through the State of Arizona.

    Professionalism: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.

    Grit: A self-starter attitude with a high sense of urgency, integrity, and reliability.

    Education: High school diploma or a general education degree (GED) is required.

    Flexibility: Ability to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Cannabis industry experience is a plus, but not required.

    Physical Demands & Work Environment

    Endurance: You must be able to stand, walk, and maintain high focus for extended periods.

    Strength: Ability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks (push/pull/reach) regularly.

    The Environment: Regular exposure to strong cannabis odors, pollen, plant pathogens, fertilizers, and dust. You will work in a variety of conditions, including high heat, high humidity, and areas with moderate to high noise levels.
