Position Description Directs and coordinates activities of the production team to ensure key objectives are achieved. The key objectives are categorized into five main areas - Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People. Working alongside other key team members is essential to accomplishing these objectives. The Production Manager is expected to motivate, inspire, and develop their team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability for meeting or exceeding customer expectations and SQDC goals. Key Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Manages the orderly, efficient, and safe receiving, inspecting, preparing, hanging, packaging, and shipping of customer's product for all shifts * Reviews production orders data and scheduled ship dates in order to plan department operations and establish priorities & sequences for product processing * Works with the Customer Service Representatives to plan scheduled ship dates when 1) daily production capacity is equaled or exceeded, 2) expedited orders arrive, 3) order rates require operational adjustments, or 4) production disruptions will affect customer order Reviews production reports and resolves production problems to prevent operational delays * Develops or revises standard production practices & work instructions, conducts training, and observes workers to ensure compliance with practices & instructions * Lead and develop teams that focus on Safety, 6S / 5S, production improvement initiatives using continuous improvement methodologies. * Coordinates daily production meeting and ensures shift to shift continuity through effective communication * Manages the inventory of production supplies and plant safety supplies including purchasing of supplies. * Manage and develop direct reports * Works alongside Human Resources Manager for continued support and development of the team. Managerial Responsibilities * Manages Shift Supervisors who supervise a total of 25-35 employees in the Production Department. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. * Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Position Description The Senior Designer will serve as the lead design authority for data center products - setting drafting standards, architecting complex assemblies, and guiding the design team to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Position Description This position reports to the Engineering Manager for the Data Center colocation sub-vertical. This role will be responsible for the development of Data Center Chiller product designs using current CAD technology to meet customer requirements in the most economical manner. The designer will provide 2D and 3D CAD modeling, detailed drawing documentation, design support for the creation of units and upload drawings to company PDM system and support the routing process. The candidate may communicate directly with the customer's engineering and/or design team. This position is based at our facility in Grand Prairie, Texas and is primarily onsite, with some flexibility for a hybrid work schedule. This position operates under normal business hours. Key Responsibilities * Create approval drawings, shop floor detailed drawings, BOMS in excel, upload drawings to PDM system and support the routing process * Create and manage a wide range of large complex Chiller 3D models using CAD software. * Ability to communicate (written and verbal) clearly and concisely, including ingoing and outgoing data exchanges with internal and external customers * Write change notifications to facilitate SM drawing modifications as per product design needs * Communicate effectively with other drafters and designers * Resolve design problems independently * Must be able to design and detail electromechanical drawings from sketches with limited information * Provide support on both new and existing chiller products * Familiarity with design requirements, tooling, manufacturing and assembly operations of multiple product lines is preferred. This position is based at our facility in Dallas, TX and is primarily onsite, with some flexibility for a hybrid work schedule. This position operates under normal business hours. Key Responsibilities * Create and manage a wide range of large complex 3D modeling using Solid Edge CAD software. * Spearheads design projects with minimal input and direction. * Provide technical guidance and expertise to less experienced CAD designers. * Effectively coordinates multiple projects simultaneously and recognized and resolves design issues independently before they become a problem. * Provide support on both new and existing products. * Communicates directly with the customer engineering and/or design team, Modine suppliers, and/or Modine facilities. * Create approval drawings, shop floor detailed drawings, BOMS in excel, upload drawings to PDM system and support the routing process. * Coordinate a team of designers and drafters. * Write change notifications to facilitate SM drawing modifications as per product design needs. * Familiarity with design requirements, tooling, manufacturing and assembly operations of a standard production line. * Knowledge of Chiller Designs or Basic Refrigeration Systems and associated components is a plus * Previous experience in SAP is a plus. * Ability to communicate (written and verbal) clearly and concisely, including ingoing and outgoing data exchanges with internal and external customers. Required Education & Qualifications * Associates or Bachelors degree in design preferred or related technical discipline with applicable experience. * Associate degree in mechanical design or related technical discipline with 7-12 years design experience, or 10-15 years equivalent design experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 5+ years design experience. * Extensive knowledge and experience in Solid Edge is a must have.
