Support Care position accountable for taking vital signs, assisting with care plan activities, observing and reporting patient conditions and behaviors, and participating in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers. Communicates with doctors, patients, and families, and educates patients on care. May provide transport to offsite appointments and application of restraints when necessary. First-level Behavioral Health professional work providing basic evidence-based/best practice therapeutic interventions (e.g., psychoeducational groups/classes, supportive activities, etc.) under the direct supervision of an appropriately licensed/certified Behavioral Health professional. Such individuals also assist licensed/certified professionals with monitoring and collecting behavioral data, implementing therapeutic behavior support plans, and the provision of data/reports to supervisory personnel.
