EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Responsible for implementing, coordinating and assigning overall duties, policies and procedures within the production area, ensuring all processes are in compliance within specifications and standards. Maintains daily checks and effective communication among shifts. Provides training and any resources needed within the scope of work.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supervises Production employees.
· Obtains production schedule, requests necessary work materials & distributes among the operators and line workers.
· Monitors productivity, downtime and reduce waste to standards.
· Performs random weight inspections of product to and take necessary actions to ensure targets are met.
· Provides relief to production personnel as necessary (i.e. lunch time, absenteeism, breaks, etc).
· Coordinates change over with process operators and packaging personnel.
· Properly completes all documentation and reports.
· Verifies code dates, sealing, product weight, and product appearance, is within specified parameters and conform to clients’ expectations.
· Ensures trays, pallets and/or boxes are within standards.
· Trains new employees and monitors and evaluates their progress (includes Safety, Preventive Controls & Food Safety); recommends transfers and promotions.
· Fills in for supervisor in absence.
· Consistently applies company rules per employee handbook and per company policies (i.e. attendance, safety, etc.) and ensures safety regulations, policies and procedures are followed.
· Monitors schedules, timecards, and prepare all HR – related paperwork, including disciplinary actions, ESNs, Attendance Forms, etc.
· Ensures all food safety principles and legal requirements have been applied effectively.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for producing food products within the specified quality requirements.
· Startup equipment, turn ovens on, set computer panel for flour flow.
· Check cutting wires and plastic rings.
· Monitor baking process and product appearance at all times.
· Be prepared to make product changes as needed. Lead Person will inform operator of changes.
· Perform changeovers from different type of flours, shutting down silos and starting up the dump station system (PIAB).
· Dump flour in bags when using dump station system (PIAB).
· Repair / replace cutting wires as needed (repair / replace time 10-15 minutes).
· Follow production schedule as indicated by Lead or Supervisor.
· End of Shift-disconnect machinery, store tools, silicon is stored in Supervisor’s office, shut down gas in ovens.
· Complete all production reports / forms.
· Empties barrels as needed.
· Maintain the work area clean.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Repairs, installs, and performs preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure that such equipment is always in good operable condition. Uses electrical and mechanical expertise to trouble shoot, repair, install and perform preventive and interactive maintenance on all production equipment accessories to ensure that all equipment is always in good operable condition.
Develop, implement and follow-up plans to accomplish departmental goals and objectives.Perform safety and sanitation audits and participate as an active member in the safety, quality and food safety committees.Conduct training sessions for the department employees as needed.Monitor and ensure work order system operates effectively (ensure safety, food safety and other operational work orders are addressed promptly).Ensure equipment performs in a safety manner and complies with all the OSHA regulations.Keep employees informed on factors relating to their work assignment, work progress, and opportunity for advancement.Responsible to maintain and improve the preventive maintenance program and ensures the preventive maintenance scheduled is followed accordingly.Responsible to ensure all plant equipment is properly maintained per manufacturer recommendations and in accordance with the preventive maintenance schedule.Responsible to modify and/or suggest modifications to the equipment upon management approval, to improve its overall performance, safety, or food safety operation.Train mechanics and production personnel in troubleshooting techniques and equipment operation.Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. 3 years of experience in Maintenance in a manufacturing plant required. Bakery or food/beverage manufacturing preferred. With a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity (or 4 years as a lead) in a manufacturing environment required. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to read electrical diagrams, have good electrical skills on power and control.Proficiency in electrical and PLC troubleshooting/programming.Knowledge of local, state, and federal electric codes.Experience with regulatory inspectors: AIB, BRC, OSHA, Military, Health Department, EPA, City & County Inspectors).Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.Team supervision/leadership/development/training skillsMulticultural approach to operating in a diverse business environment. Complies and enters preventive maintenance and downtime into Mobile Frame for the purpose of tracking, trending, and reporting.Tracks maintenance budget and performs clerical duties for the maintenance department.Tracks and controls components sent out for repair.Inventories part bins and spaces on daily basis, orders parts when quantities are a minimum, maintains inventory at established minimums.Orders parts as indicated by the “parts usage form” and/or purchase orders, coordinates to avoid duplicate orders.Performs search and discovery of PO’s documents and transactions in the event there are problems with invoicing or payment. Works closely with Account Payable to resolve payment problems.Periodically checks competitor costs on like items to insure best pricing.Conducts formal quarterly and annual inventories, participates on inventory audits.Ships and receives department parts as required.Responsible for maintaining and updating an accurate MSDS catalog, department records, and others as directedResponsible for removal of department hazardous waste such as, used oil, solvent, and inks. Essential Duties These duties directly and substantially serve to achieve the purpose of the position.
· Responsible for producing fried chips within the specified quality requirements and complying with all product parameters
· Operate all conveying and packaging system
· Startup equipment, set computer panel, set code dater and product code.
· Verify amounts and product code of each pallet produced and prepare ICS tag.
· Prepare and complete ICS tag log and verify reported totals on all products prepared during the shift.
· Prepare, complete and have packaging material ready for casers working on the line.
· Immediately notify Lead and/or Production Supervisor of stock shortages (bags, boxes, trays, etc.)
· Responsible for notify Maintenance in a timely manner of any mechanical issues.
· Be prepared to make product changes as needed. Supervisor or Lead will inform operator of changes
· Reprocess none-conformance product acceptable for reprocess.
· Repair/replace film
· Check functionality of metal detector and check weightier and adjust them if needed.
· Verify packets are sealed properly.
· Monitor film and perform changeovers when necessary
· End of production disconnect machinery
· Follow production schedule and indicated by Lead or Supervisor
· Support the supervisor in the daily production reports/forms.
· Input information in SAP.
· Perform any position in the department whenever it is necessary.
· Maintain area, keep clean and organized.
· Perform other duties as assigned
