    Job DescriptionJob Description

    Repairs, installs, and performs preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure that such equipment is always in good operable condition. Uses electrical and mechanical expertise to trouble shoot, repair, install and perform preventive and interactive maintenance on all production equipment accessories to ensure that all equipment is always in good operable condition.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    1. Install, operates, maintains, checks, and trouble-shoots all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment. Install, trouble-shoot, and repair solid state and electronic equipment as well as mechanical equipment.

    2. Uses safe working practices and always reports/repairs any hazard conditions.

    3. Inspects machines, takes any required test, and completed “all” reports and paperwork as required.

    4. Perform PM and repair work in accordance with A.I.B. standards.

    5. Diagnoses and employs proper procedure of troubleshooting to determine when parts need replacement and when repairs are necessary.

    6. Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles gearboxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pump, valve, and mechanical equipment when directed.

    7. Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles electrical motors, relays, timers, and allied electrical equipment.

    8. Installs and repairs electrical conduit, cables, piping, tubing, controls, and grounding as directed.

    9. Operates mobile lift truck and hoisting in the performance of maintenance work. Possess knowledge of simple rigging when necessary for equipment moving and relocation.

    10. Help maintain spare parts inventory for plant.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent preferred. 4 years of industrial maintenance/electrical experience required. Food/beverage processing or packaging environment preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    Knowledge of local, state and federal electric codes

    Certified for PLC programming e.g., Allen Bradley or equivalent preferred.

    Experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting the following:

    - Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

    - Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

    - All types of AC and DC electrical and mechanical equipment.

    - Electrical conduit, cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connections, controls, and grounding.

    Able to read and make proper installations of complex electrical circuits from wiring diagrams.

    Able to disassemble, repair and reassemble gear boxes, fans conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and all allied mechanical equipment related to electrical troubleshooting.

    Experience troubleshooting and repairing oven combustion and safety devices.

    Possesses working knowledge of hydraulic, compressed air systems and be able to read complex diagrams and troubleshoot these systems

    Experience Installing and repairing pneumatic conduit, cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connections, controls, and grounding.

    Possess working knowledge of the following equipment:

    - MIG/TIG/ARC welding equipment.

    - Gas & Plasma cutting equipment

    - Power tools such as drill presses, cut off saw, lathes, mills, and table tools.

    - Electrical test equipment such as voltmeter, megger, ammeter, diode and SCR tester.

     

    Shift: 3rd (10pm-6:30am)

    Starting Hourly Pay: $28.71 - $41.67 (pay will be based on experience) + shift differential, OT, 8 Holidays, & Vacation Pay

    Production Lead

    Responsible for implementing, coordinating and assigning overall duties, policies and procedures within the production area, ensuring all processes are in compliance within specifications and standards. Maintains daily checks and effective communication among shifts. Provides training and any resources needed within the scope of work.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Supervises Production employees.

    · Obtains production schedule, requests necessary work materials & distributes among the operators and line workers.

    · Monitors productivity, downtime and reduce waste to standards.

    · Performs random weight inspections of product to and take necessary actions to ensure targets are met.

    · Provides relief to production personnel as necessary (i.e. lunch time, absenteeism, breaks, etc).

    · Coordinates change over with process operators and packaging personnel.

    · Properly completes all documentation and reports.

    · Verifies code dates, sealing, product weight, and product appearance, is within specified parameters and conform to clients’ expectations.

    · Ensures trays, pallets and/or boxes are within standards.

    · Trains new employees and monitors and evaluates their progress (includes Safety, Preventive Controls & Food Safety); recommends transfers and promotions.

    · Fills in for supervisor in absence.

    · Consistently applies company rules per employee handbook and per company policies (i.e. attendance, safety, etc.) and ensures safety regulations, policies and procedures are followed.

    · Monitors schedules, timecards, and prepare all HR – related paperwork, including disciplinary actions, ESNs, Attendance Forms, etc.

    · Ensures all food safety principles and legal requirements have been applied effectively.

    · Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends.

    · Other duties, as assigned.

    Education:

    High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.Associates degree preferred.

    Experience:

    2 years of experience in a production line in a manufacturing plant required.Bakery or food/beverage manufacturing preferred.Previous leadership experience preferred.

    This position operates a Machine and produce food products within specifications as required on the daily schedule.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Responsible for producing food products within the specified quality requirements.

    · Startup equipment, turn ovens on, set computer panel for flour flow.

    · Check cutting wires and plastic rings.

    · Monitor baking process and product appearance at all times.

    · Be prepared to make product changes as needed. Lead Person will inform operator of changes.

    · Perform changeovers from different type of flours, shutting down silos and starting up the dump station system (PIAB).

    · Dump flour in bags when using dump station system (PIAB).

    · Repair / replace cutting wires as needed (repair / replace time 10-15 minutes).

    · Follow production schedule as indicated by Lead or Supervisor.

    · End of Shift-disconnect machinery, store tools, silicon is stored in Supervisor’s office, shut down gas in ovens.

    · Complete all production reports / forms.

    · Empties barrels as needed.

    · Maintain the work area clean.

    · Perform other duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum 1-year machine operator experience required. Food environment strongly preferred.Able to lift up to 50lbs.Math skillsAble to work under low supervision.Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

    Participates in the supervision of production employees.

    Recognize and report any situation that could affect the safety of an employee.

    Obtain all necessary packaging and or processing materials ahead of time.

    Recognize and report any situation that could reduce production efficiency or plant productivity and could affect the quality of the product or service.

    Making sure that the employees are doing the monitoring of the CCP according with the HACCP procedure.

    Monitor that the product is being produced and packed within specifications.

    Inform employees under his/her direction about production and attendance schedule.

    Complete all assigned paperwork with accuracy and legibility.

    Assist in the preparation of production reports.

    Participate in product mock recalls.

    Monitor the attendance of employees under his/her direction.

    Contact employees when machinery breaks down or any other unforeseen situation occurs.

    Recognize and report any major deviations from the production schedule.

    Perform inventories of raw and packaging materials.

    Schedule employees breaks and lunches in a manner that will maximize productivity.

    Help relieve employees during lunch.

    Rotate employees in a manner that will maximize productivity.

    Train new employees and monitor their progress as well as assist in evaluating them.

    Operate all machinery within his/her work cell (check-weightier, SAP system, pallet jack, label machine, metal detector, etc.)

    Notify maintenance and management when machinery breakdowns occur.

    Ensure that all employees are complying with the GMP’S and Safety rules.

    Perform pre-operational inspections.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    ·       Startup equipment, set computer panel, set code dater and product code.

    ·       Verify amounts and product code of each pallet produced and prepare ICS tag.

    ·       Prepare and complete ICS tag log and verify reported totals on all products prepared during the shift.

    ·       Prepare, complete and have packaging material ready for casers working on the line.

    ·       Immediately notify Lead and/or Production Supervisor of stock shortages (bags, boxes, trays, etc.)

    ·       Responsible for notify Maintenance in a timely manner of any mechanical issues.

    ·       Be prepared to make product changes as needed. Supervisor or Lead will inform operator of changes

    ·       Reprocess none-conformance product acceptable for reprocess.

    ·       Repair/replace film

    ·       Check functionality of metal detector and check weightier and adjust them if needed.
