We are looking for a General OP Physiatrist who is eager to work with a broad patient population in providing a variety of services and is a pretty special place offering a great work/life balance. As you might recall, I specialize in placing PM&R docs and founded the first PM&R Only Search firm in the country.
Our successful Physiatrist candidate will utilize musculoskeletal medicine, peripheral injections, ultrasound guided procedures, pain management, spasticity, electrodiagnostics, concussion, workers compensation, toxin injections, and cancer rehabilitation. There is a very active running program and gait lab, should your interests veer that way. This is one of the original and prestigious full department of PMR in the state, so they have an extensive range of resources to handle complex patients. You will be supported by a team of therapists, APP s and caseworkers, so you can treat the patients in a meaningful way and not be overburdened. This is not an interventional spine position.
A Clinical role inside an academically oriented department that includes:
A robust PM&R residency program, with faculty appointment obtainable.A fully CARF accredited in inpatient brain injury, outpatient brain injury, general rehab, amputee rehab and stroke.All current physiatrists are board certified in PMR, with subspecialties including BI, SCI, Pain, EMG, and IME.Research Division led by our NIH trained director of clinical research.This is an employed, full-time position.
