MHS is currently seeking a part-time Barber to work in the Schools Hair Salon Spartan Styles to provide hair care to students from Pre-K through 12th grades. This position provides barbering services (clipper and scissor cuts) for our male students, and it is important for the barber to have experience with all types of hair and cutting techniques. Enhancing and maintaining healthy hair for students by providing instruction in grooming and hygiene is also an important part of the job. Hours are scheduled as needed, by the Spartan Styles Salon - Monday through Saturday. Barbers should be available to work Monday through Thursday starting at 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and occasionally Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings as needed from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Approximately 20-29 hours per week when students are in school, and it cannot be guaranteed as its determined by scheduling requests from the students. MHS stylists are paid at an hourly rate (NOT "per head/tip basis") based on experience. Hourly pay rate: $23.40 to $38.61. MHS is seeking a year-round part-time Water Safety Instructor (WSI) to work at MHSs 3 indoor pools and the outdoor aquatic center. The K-12 Aquatics Water Safety Instructor (WSI) is responsible for ensuring all MHS students master the skill of swimming, prior to their high school graduation while maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment through constant surveillance of those in the pool areas and by immediately addressing and resolving concerns in a constructive manner. Under the supervision of the Aquatics Manager, the WSI plans, organizes, and provides quality swimming and water safety instruction to all MHS students on campus (grades PK-12). Also provides instruction under the supervision of PE teachers during the school day in PE classes. Furthermore, the WSIs is responsible for enforcing pool safety standards and facilities operational rules for all individuals using the pools. Lessons during the week runs from 9:00 am-12:00 pm Monday through Thursday: June 30-July 3July 7-10July 14-17July 21-24Adult lessons are from July 28-31 from 10:30 am-11:30am. This position pays $22.62 /hour.
