    Miller International, Inc., designer of Cinch® and Cruel®, is excited to expand and is looking for a Quality Control Clerk to join our new warehouse team in Memphis, Tennessee!

    This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in tailoring, alterations, sewing, seamstress work, or garment construction who has a sharp eye for detail and takes pride in quality workmanship. If you enjoy working with clothing and understand how garments are put together, this could be a great fit for you.

    We’re building our Memphis operation from the ground up, so we’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn, grow, and be part of something new.

    This position is in-office only.

    As a Quality Control Clerk, you would be responsible for:

    Conduct thorough inspections of finished garments to identify defects, including stitching errors, fabric flaws, and color discrepanciesUtilize measurement tools to verify product dimensions and ensure compliance with size specificationsPerform functional tests as required to assess product durability and performanceMaintain detailed records of inspection results, including the nature and frequency of defectsPrepare reports summarizing quality issues and recommend corrective actionsCommunicate findings to production teams and collaborate on solutions to address quality concernsParticipate in developing and implementing quality control procedures and standardsProvide feedback to the production team to enhance product quality and reduce defect ratesWork with production staff on quality standards and inspection techniquesEnsure all products comply with company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirementsStay informed about industry best practices and quality assurance trendsAssisting with general warehouse tasks as needed, including picking, packing, stocking, and receiving Other tasks as assigned

    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious experience in quality control within the apparel or textile industry is preferredFamiliarity with garment construction, fabrics, and production processesProficiency in using measurement tools and inspection equipment

    Other Qualifications

    Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defectsExcellent communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team membersProblem-solving abilities to address quality issues effectivelyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills for data entry and report generation
