Midland Pediatric Associates, PLLC, is looking for a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our elite team! We aim to build lasting relationships with the families we serve. Duties will include reasonable tasks and assignments of a Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatrics as deemed appropriate by MPA and any of your supervisors. All such duties shall be performed by applicable canons, professional ethics, and conduct rules. You shall also promote the Company's professional practice to the extent permitted by law and the relevant canons of professional ethics. Your duties shall specifically include the following, without limitation:
Compiling health histories for patients.Completing pediatric appraisals, including physical assessment of patients.Evaluating the ongoing development of patients.Recognizing deviations and signs of illness in patients.Counseling patients and providing anticipatory guidance.Recognition and assessment of parent/child and family relationships.Conducting parent conferences and follow-up phone calls to parents.Continually updating and expanding practice knowledge and skills, including through self—study, continuing education programs, reviewing medical literature, and participating in case discussions with other pediatric providers. Maintaining working relationships with patients and related parties, including through the following: Interviewing patients, parents, and other family relations.Assisting in patient development of a healthy attitude, including self-assessment and body understanding, emphasizing positive characteristics.Acting as a resource and valuable point of contact for the Company.Sharing relevant patient information with pediatricians as required and/or law permits.Interacting and sharing information with post-partum/nursery staff.
Office Hours:
Monday through Friday - 8:00 AM to 5:30 PMSaturday & Sunday - CLOSEDRotating On-Call
Job Type: Full-time, 4.5 days per week. Salaried exempt employee
On-Call: Candidate will be scheduled, as will other MPA clinicians, to work some weekday 'nights', weekends and holidays and will be proportional to the other physicians and employed nurse practitioners.
Pay: Competitive with relocation assistance available.

Required Credential(s):
Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained before hire/transfer date.A licensed registered nurse is credentialed by the Texas Board of Nursing and obtained before the hire date.
Preferred Credential(s):
Primary Care Certified Pediatric Nurse PractitionerDrug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Education:
Master's degree in Nursing required.
Additional Preferences:
Two years of experience is preferred but not required in Pediatrics/Adolescent MedicineBilingual
