Job Description
MITER Brands, a leader in the window and door industry, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Tacoma team. In this hands-on role, you'll help keep our plant equipment and facilities running smoothly, maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
What You'll Do:
Troubleshoot, service, and repair industrial equipment-including motors, AC drives, PLCs, servos, sensors, switches, and pneumatic components
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
Maintain accurate repair and work logs using FiiX (computerized maintenance management system)
Apply problem solving and root cause analysis to reduce repeat equipment failures, ensuring temporary repairs are followed by prioritized work orders for permanent fixes
Prioritize and complete repairs to support efficient plant operations
Perform routine preventative maintenance and partner with production teams to improve quality and machinery reliability
Conduct fabrication work as needed
Maintain facility grounds and services
Always follow safety policies and use required Personal Protective Equipment
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 6 years' maintenance experience, ideally in manufacturing
Technical certification preferred; equivalent experience considered
Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, cutting, welding, fabrication, and tooling
Experience with diagnostic equipment (ohms meter, voltage meters, etc.), power tools, and computerized tracking systems (MRO, FiiX)
Ability to read and follow blueprints and schematics
Skilled in troubleshooting across multiple systems
Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs alone, up to 100 lbs with assistance
Computer literacy and ability to learn new software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Outstanding customer service abilities

We are looking for a Night Shift Maintenance Supervisor for our PGTI North Venice, FL location.
This position is responsible for researching, planning, and coordinating electrical and mechanical services for building facilities, grounds and production machinery.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of maintenance team members.Interview, hire, and evaluate department personnel.Develop, schedule and control a preventive maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working condition.Plan and maintain a continual work schedule for department personnel.Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in maintenance - electrical, mechanical and tooling operations.Inspect jobs in progress and at completion to ensure that standards of workmanship and safety are maintained.Ensure proper maintenance of facility machinery and building.Arrange or provide training as required.Maintain inventories of maintenance material, supplies and repair parts at required levels through inventory control and purchase requisition procedures.Recommend, plan, and implement equipment needs to improve production efficiency and/or achieve cost reduction; support tool/equipment design and fabrication for reprocessing projects.Work with engineering on electrical and mechanical equipment layouts and the modification of facilities within the plant.Ensure that high standards of safety are developed, met and maintained to include Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures, start-up/shut-down procedures, confined space training, etc. arranging or providing training as required.Identify maintenance issues, troubleshoot problems, and recommend solutions for equipment and building systems.Support and facilitate various TPM pillars like Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement, and Planned Maintenance.Identify areas for improvement, develop action plans, and lead teams to implement solutions that drive efficiency and reduce waste.Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to TPM and CI, analyzing results, and making data-driven decisions to improve performance.Foster a culture where employees are actively engaged in identifying and implementing improvements, and where TPM and CI are embraced as a way of working.Secure equipment bids and make recommendations for purchase when replacement or new equipment is required.Maintain roster of satisfactorily performing outside contractors who may be needed for special maintenance jobs.Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.Participate in the annual budget preparation.Serve or designate representatives to various cross-functional work teams or Strategic Action Plans.Qualifications

You will be responsible for extending credit and collecting Accounts Receivable, including the consistent application of company credit policy, periodic reviews of existing customers, and assessments of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.

Customer account management

Communicating with sales staff and the Credit Manager on issues
Preserving good will of customers
Maintaining records - communication notes and follow-up
Contacting customers regarding past due balances
Customer invoice/payment issues
Reconcile customer statements/billings
Email customer requested invoice copies
Customers write-offs
Determine accounts with potential bad debt to be communicated with the Credit Manager and written off with approval
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in the credit and collections field or related area
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of credit and collection terms and concepts, and basic accounting concepts
Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
Positive can-do attitude with a team player mentality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Well organized and pays attention to details
Experience with ERP Software preferred (especially experience with Oracle)
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe)

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent, or AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with PLC experience
• Must read and understand schematics, drawings, and diagrams
• Must supply own hand tools
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities:
Provide operational support services and sometimes act as first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area. Involves using existing systems and protocols.
Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.
Contribute data and information to production plans. Run reports, check accuracy, and distribute information.
Lead a team performing routine work; conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.
Follow the organization's EHS policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
Ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality and timeliness; support the quality function by working within strict quality standards.
Provide instruction and informal advice to less experienced colleagues within the team to develop their skills.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
Experience:
High School diploma or GED required.
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, conflict resolution, time
management, and communication skills required.
Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
(7 to 12 months)
Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)

What You'll Do:
Aggressively grow sales and market share in Connecticut.
Build strong relationships with dealers, builders, and remodelers.

Deliver exceptional customer care and aftermarket support.

What We're Looking For:
5+ years of outside sales experience (building products preferred).
Proven ability to exceed quotas and drive growth.
Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
Willingness to travel overnight within the territory.
BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
