Job Summary:
Under the guidance of the Operation Manager and/or Branch Manager, possesses the overall accountability and responsibility for the daily production of loan processing team, assists with processing loan files as well as underwriting mortgage loans. Directs and coordinates daily production of operations staff to ensure timely and accurate closings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily monitoring of reports to ensure loan files are moving through the process in accordance with company expectations.Process loan files as needed to support branch and ensure all loans close on time.Assist Operations Manager with underwriting loan files as needed. Monitor daily production of processing staff. Mentor and educate loan processors to ensure their development. Prepares and reviews reports for appropriate company representatives. Assist with training procedures for existing and new employees.Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required. Must obtain underwriting authority within 120 days of starting position. Training will be provided.Requirements
Minimum Education Experience:
5 years Sr. Loan Processing experience. Extensive hands-on knowledge of mortgage loan processing, DU, LP and agency guidelines.
Skills and Abilities:
Persuasive attitude with outstanding leadership and organizational skills; detail-oriented aptitude. Ability to interpret, analyze and evaluate given information relative to lender requirements and underwriting guidelines; customer-service oriented with ability to handle difficult situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for high interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization. Adaptability and flexibility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with ability to coordinate several major activities simultaneously. Previous underwriting experience a plus.Work Conditions:
