    How You Can Make an Impact
    The Safety Support Technician needs to be a motivated, detail-oriented, and observant individual who has a passion for safety. This position has a strong understanding of the importance of safety and what it means to the construction industry.

    This entry-level position plays an important role in ensuring that safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are properly maintained, inspected, inventoried, and distributed. The position will also support the Safety Department with field coverage and various safety-related duties when needed. This position requires frequent travel throughout California, including overnight stays as required.

    How You Will ContributeResponsible for the organization of the shop including general maintenance and shop clean up.Coordinate ordering, pickup, and distribution of parts for fleet. Lubricate and clean fleet equipment, apply decals, license plates, and registrationSafely transport fleet equipment across jobsites, yards, and internal shop locations, travel if needed. Code and submit all invoices with receipts to accounting.     The Estimating Coordinator will assist the Estimators with coordinating projects and documentation in support of producing and assembling accurate bids. Working within the Estimating Department in solicitation of subcontractor bids, distribution of plans to qualified bidders, follow up and review of bids with Estimator and/or Project Manager.

    This position will primarily work from the office to support the general foreman with project requirements and crew needs. This role will also work closely with project management and act as a link between the field and office.  Shifts may start as early as 6:30 a.m.

    How You Will ContributeWork in the field  as needed to support construction crews. Mark out & submit USA tickets and site survey requests.Support construction crews during the construction phase to safely deliver a quality product.Gather close-out documentation from the field, compile and submit As-Builts and completion packs to clients, and ensure 100% accuracy.     The Fleet Service Coordinator supports the Shop Foreman to keep vehicles and equipment maintained, compliant, and ready for daily operations. This position works closely with fleet personnel, field crews, vendors, and management to facilities maintenance activities, monitor regulatory requirements, and support efficient use of fleet assets. The Fleet Service Coordinator plays a key role in minimizing downtime, maintaining accurate records, and helping keep fleet operations organized and responsive to the needs of the business.

    As the Field Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to the MGE Underground’s Civil Construction, Supervisors, Foremen and Crew Members.
