Role & Responsibilities
Develops and maintains program cost forecasting and accrual process and subsequent variance analysis (budget and forecast) with input from program management and regional offices.Develops and uses cost-related metrics in partnership with program management to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Presents findings and recommendations to leaders.Develops new or revises existing data analysis to predict business outcomes selecting from various complex variables.Develops and maintains cost analysis processes that ensure appropriate regulatory cost categorization and identify trends in contractor billing.Manages small to mid-size cost-related process improvements.Compiles supporting documentation for regulatory filings (General Rate Case /Wildfire Mitigation Plan).Work Location The office location will be determined and strategically placed to cover the geographic service territory identified by the PG&E Representative.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Computing, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.Minimum four (4) years of related work experience (financial planning, cost/budget management, and regulatory cost recovery).Skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel analysis of operational and/or financial information, including data connection and manipulation of data via Analysis for Office from SAP Business Warehouse & Financials, or similar database.Experienced application of Vegetation Management operational and cost processes, regulatory requirements, critical success factors, goals and initiatives.Qualitative and quantitative data analysis and analytical skills to identify and support business changes.MBA or graduate degree preferred.Increasing responsibilities supporting program management objectives and track record or providing results-focused business/program support.Creative problem skills to develop solutions.Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver findings and recommendations to various levels of management.Excellent organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity.Compensation $37.00 Hourly, Non-exempt

The VPL will leverage their extensive experience in hazard tree removal, emergency response, and familiarity with PG&E's vegetation management practices to oversee contractor work, solve complex problems, and lead project teams.
Role & Responsibilities
Leads vegetation management operations and outside contractor work performance.Works independently to solve moderate to highly complex problems and takes new perspectives on existing solutions, plans, and goals.Leads project teams to complete required tasks.Performs lead duties for emergency response in accordance with all safety requirements, laws, and regulations, and applicable labor agreements.Supports operations and work on process improvement initiatives, schedule, and coordination of VM activities.Assists with difficult customers at the direction of the Program. Manager (customer complaints, refusals, difficult access, agencies).At the direction of the PG&E Representative clarify expectations and program direction for contractor employees.Assists with monitoring the progress and status of pre-inspection and tree work completion.Assists with agency meetings and field visits to review VM work as directed by the PG&E Program Manager.Assists with management of projects routine and non-routine.Assists in management of the contract review process.Perform database sleuthing to identify issues.Perform other Work as directed by the PG&E Representative.Qualifications & Requirements
Associate degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience.Two years of job-related experience with at least one year of experience in a leadership role, as a team leader or project leader.Two (2) years of experience in emergency response and/orTwo (2) years of experience in hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way.The VPL shall be familiar with PG&Es vegetation management contractors work practices, proper arboricultural techniques and practices and other requirements related to line clearances and fire prevention.The above statements and job description are intended to describe the nature and level of work being performed within this job. Physical Demands
Sitting for long periods of time working at the computer or driving to job sites. Job site visits require walking on uneven ground, climbing, bending, stooping, and crawling in confined or enclosed spaces. Some lifting of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. May work long hours during peak seasons.
Work Environment
Typical office environment with adequate temperatures and lighting, low levels of noise. Exposed to the conditions of job sites which can include loud noise, dust, fumes, and extreme weather conditions prevalent at the time. May work various shifts or hours, including early mornings, dusk or evenings.

You'll work closely with our team of professionals such as Registered Professional Foresters, Licensed Timber Operators, and a variety of state and federal stakeholders to ensure that forestry projects are completed efficiently and in accordance with environmental regulations. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, coordinating project timelines, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
