    MGC Contractors, Inc is looking for an experienced Safety Professional for our Texas Division in the El Paso area.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    Assist in development and implementation of site-specific safety programs, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and implementing preventative measures to minimize future occurrences.Collaborate with project management staff and site supervisors to integrate safety requirements into project planning and execution.Train employees on safety protocols, hazard recognition, and emergency response procedures, including new hire safety orientations.Perform OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification training for applicable employees. Maintain accurate records and safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions. Any and all other duties assigned.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This position operates at professional construction sites, requiring the ability to communicate verbally with others on site, in person and over the telephone. The ability to read printed materials, signs and directions. The stamina to maintain attention despite interruptions, ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds and reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, traverse around or otherwise position one's self around the required work and safety requirements to navigating and perform activities on various construction sites in a safe manner. The position requires working outside, frequently for long periods of time in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures. While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a full-time salaried position. Occasionally working extra hours may be required as job duties and schedule demand.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or related field work preferred.Valid UT Driver's license and clean driving record required.At least Three (3) years of safety professional experience in a similar field.OSHA 500/510 certification First Aid/CPR/AED certificationProficient with ISNetworld preferredProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.Effective communication skills both oral and written, and quick response time to inquiries.Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.

    The crane operator will safely operate rough terrain hydraulic cranes to transfer heavy objects from one location to another. An RT crane, or rough terrain crane, is a mobile crane designed to work in challenging conditions like uneven ground or tight spaces.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    Operate RT hydraulic cranes.Setup machinery based on complex manuals. Calculate load capacity, determine weight of loads in relation to the manufacturer's load chart specifications, whether it's on a construction jobsite or in a facility.Inspecting the crane to ensure its safety on a daily basis for defects, wear and maintenance prior to operation. Report deficiencies promptly to supervisor.Inspect and assess ground conditions to ensure the crane is set up safely.Inspect clearances, overhead lines and other objects to ensure no accidents or damages occur.Hoist, position and place machinery, equipment or other large objects at construction sites and industrial facilities.Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.Coordinate with ground crew and other operators to interpret all forms of signal-hand, verbal and radio.Maintain activity logs and records of service.Inspect rigging and remove damaged equipment from service.Wear required PPE at all times.Willingness to travel as work dictatesAny and all other duties assigned.

    Spreads Concrete into forms using rake or shovel.Mixes cement using hoe or concrete mixing machine.Breaks up and repairs concrete surfaces using pneumatic tools.Cleans work areas, machines, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe job site.Fine grades soil on ground to achieve proper thickness of concrete.Selects tools, equipment, and materials from storage and transports items to job sites to be used.Any and all other duties assigned.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES FOR FORMSETTER

    Erects built-in-place forms or assembles and installs prefabricated forms on construction site according to blueprint specifications using hand tools, plum rule, and level.Inserts spreaders and tie rods between opposite faces of form to maintain specified dimensions.     PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    Operating hand wheels, levers, and depresses pedals to drive machines and control attachments, such as blades, buckets, scrapers, and swing booms.Grading or redistributing earth, aggregates, or materials for the construction of structures.Operating GPS and laser leveling machine to regulate elevation and angle of slopes performing rough grading.Fastening attachments or accessories to equipment, and aligning depth gauge marker with reference stakes and guidelines on ground or positioning equipment following hand signals.Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure the machine is working properly.Inspecting equipment for deficiencies, such as tires, lights, brakes, fuses and fluid levels, and submits report indicating equipment condition.Reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, survey markers and stakes.Signaling directions and warnings to coworkers.Any and all other duties assigned.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This position operates at professional construction sites, requiring the ability to communicate verbally with others on site, in person and over the telephone. The ability to read printed materials, signs and directions. The stamina to maintain attention despite interruptions, ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds and reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, traverse around or otherwise position one's self around the required work and safety requirements to navigating and perform activities on various construction sites in a safe manner. This position operates in a professional field environment. The position requires working outside, frequently for long periods of time in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures. While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a full-time position. Occasional overtime, weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    High School Diploma or GED required. Three (3) years to five (5) years of related experience operating dozer, loader, backhoe, gannon, scraper, or compactor is required.Five (5) plus years of related experience preferred.

    Review and comprehend blueprint drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, etc.Review previous surveys, existing control, and land records to verify and support survey data.Develop accurate CAD drawings for job site layout.Establish and maintain a system of horizontal and vertical control for each job site.
