The Senior Maintenance Program Manager provides technical leadership and strategic direction in the development and implementation of a comprehensive reliability maintenance program and the reliability section employees. Performs engineering work requiring the exercise of sound judgment and a working knowledge of environmental regulations and engineering principles to support Metro’s environmental compliance programs under applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations, permits, and policies. Performs engineering and regulatory analyses and prepares technical documentation to ensure that Metro facilities and operations remain in compliance with all applicable environmental requirements. Works under the general direction of the Senior Environmental Compliance Engineering Manager or a Principal Environmental Compliance Engineer.
Examples of Duties
Perform assigned environmental compliance engineering evaluations, studies, and technical analyses supporting Metro’s environmental compliance programs. For assigned environmental program areas, perform compliance engineering and regulatory work as needed to meet Metro’s operational and programmatic requirements. Assist with the preparation of engineering and regulatory analyses and documentation to support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permits. Support permit-related analyses, renewals, and reports under various environmental programs. Review engineering design documents, process or chemical modifications, and capital project proposals under the supervision of higher-level Environmental Compliance Engineers to identify potential environmental compliance implications. Conduct data evaluations, calculations, and preliminary modeling to support engineering assessments, including fate and transport analyses.
