    Overview

    Metalcraft - Beaver Dam is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team!

    This person will report to the Safety Department and will primarily be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and process improvement of mechanical equipment, automated PLC's, robotics and other computer controlled equipment used to support production operations.

    1st shift 6:00a to 2:30p Monday through Friday



    Responsibilities

    Perform repairs, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for all electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems to support both production and non-production related equipment in accordance with established standards. Manages equipment calibrations, programmable device configurations and systems hardware to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, minimize equipment downtime and support improvement activities for productivity and yield enhancement. Recommends and enforces maintenance safety requirements. Under general supervision, coordinates the maintenance of inventories of commonly used items to maximize maintenance storage and prevent stocking of seldom used goods. Develop and manage outside contractor and vendor relationships. Perform preventive maintenance, including but not limited to: lubricating machines Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to assign work orders to Maintenance Technicians. Generates daily work logs to track work orders and status of ongoing project assignments to ensure department resources are appropriately utilized. Recommends and enforces maintenance Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards. Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma or Equivalent Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and abilities to analyze a wide variety of equipment troubleshoot problems and assess maintenance needs Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and controls aspects of Robotic equipment. Working knowledge of electrical circuits, PLC troubleshooting, repair and programming. Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical P&ID drawings, and applied knowledge operating systems up to 3Ph and 480Vac Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Associate's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Technology or related field Previous experience working within a highly technical environment Journeyman certification, preferably from a field involving electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics.

    Overview

    ESTIMATOR - MAYVILLE, WI

    This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked in sheet metal manufacturing and fabrication (welding, brake press operation, quality technician, etc).

    Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Estimator is responsible for creating quotes to generate the cost of a part. This is done by analyzing each component and assembly drawing to determine the processes and enter information into our quoting software that will then determine costs.



    Responsibilities

    This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and might be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

    Generate quotes for new or changing OEM products used within the agriculture, construction, industrial, and military industries. Also work on quoting our own product in Power Equipment, Automation, and Truck Bodies. Review drawings to identify the processes that will be used to meet the customer requirements. Solicit supplier quotes and review them for accuracy to ensure they quoted to meet customer expectations. Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Must be meticulous and detail oriented with job tasks. Ability to read prints. Have a general understanding of metal fabrication processes. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision.

    Overview

    As a Test Engineer at Scag Power Equipment located in Mayville WI, you will ensure the durability and reliability of Scag products by qualifying new designs and components through lab/field testing and hands-on mechanical work.



    Responsibilities

    Work with Scag product development team to qualify and verify new Scag products using field and lab testing. Work with product cost engineer to test and evaluate alternative components and designs. Work with the software/electrical side 10-20% of the time. Develop and execute test plans to validate operation and performance of products during the development phase and throughout lifecycle of the product. Execute relevant safety testing of products according to specific industry standards (ANSI, OPEI, CPSC, etc.). Gather, analyze and interpret field test data using data acquisition hardware/software. Summarize and document field test data and lab test results with written reports. Maintain database for tracking validation activities and test results. Recommend solutions to improve future system and component failures. Design, set-up, monitor, and analyze automated lab testing to simulate forces and motions using test parameters from finite element results and actual field test results/measurements.

    Qualifications

    What it takes:

    We need an excellent communicator, who is self-motivated and can multi-task in a fast paced team environment. You will need exceptional analytical skills for problem solving, with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.

    A strong candidate will have 3+ years' experience in the following:

    Strong mechanical aptitude, detail oriented, disciplined Ability to manage and work with other team members, willingness to teach and learn Skilled design and programming of PLC's for running automated tests eDAQ data acquisition experience Knowledge of servo-hydraulic test equipment, dynos and other test equipment Experience testing and building fluid power systems CREO (Pro-E) Experience
