    Seeking an experienced Lab Manager / General Laboratory Supervisor (GLS) to own day-to-day laboratory operations. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will run the floor, maintain instruments, drive method development and validation, and ensure CLIA/COLA compliance across all workflows. You will work alongside our MD lab director and report directly to ownership.

    Responsibilities 

    Manage all day-to-day clinical toxicology laboratory operations: sample workflow, instrument performance, TAT, and qualityLead method development and validation for new analytes and matrices, including oral fluid toxicology on Shimadzu LC/MS-8050 and Sciex 5500Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize LC-MS/MS instrumentation Ensure ongoing CLIA and COLA compliance: QC, proficiency testing, SOP maintenance, documentationSupervise and develop the lab staff of the lab assistant and the accessionerCoordinate with MD lab director on workflow approvals, new test implementation, and inspection readinessIdentify operational inefficiencies and drive continuous improvementManage reagent and consumable inventory, vendor relationships, and instrument service contractsReport directly to lab ownership on operational KPIs, staffing, and expansion readiness

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree or higher in clinical laboratory science, chemistry, biology, or related fieldMinimum 3–5 years of hands-on LC-MS/MS experience in a clinical toxicology laboratoryMethod development and validation experience — new analytes, new matrices, new instrumentsExperience with Shimadzu LCMS-8050 and/or Sciex 5500 series strongly preferredFamiliarity with CLIA, COLA, and CAP regulatory requirements for high-complexity testingDemonstrated ability to lead a lab team and own outcomes, not just follow protocolsEligible to obtain a Nevada General Laboratory Supervisor (GLS) license (we will sponsor and support the licensure process)

    Preferred Qualification:

    Experience with oral fluid toxicology method development and validationMLS (ASCP) or equivalent certificationExperience at a BH/SUD or pain management-focused clinical tox labPrior experience managing or building a small lab team

    Seeking to hire three direct hire Gels Operators for our client in Joliet, IL. Our client is a leading global provider of silicates, silicas and derivative products. Their products are used in a wide variety of industrial processes and many customer products, from decorative paints to green cement, from clean drinking water to green tires and from toothpaste to biofuels and beer.

    This role is responsible for the overall operations involved in gel production within Xerogel and Hydrogel processes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, decontamination and sterilization of process equipment, unloading of bulk shipments of raw materials, gel making, washing, milling, packing, in process testing and storage of product. The Gels Operator will proceed with the scheduled production and other operations assigned, such as housekeeping. This is a rotational 12 hours shift job. The operators must learn the milling/packing job first and then proceed to the other areas of operation to progress on higher pay levels. The operator will give the Maintenance Department full cooperation whenever production equipment is broken down and is to assist the Maintenance Department in every way possible.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Direct the activities of other employees if they are assigned to assist in the performance of departmental duties.Ensure that scheduled production rates are maintained, and that product quality is maintained within specifications.Take and log all those measurements necessary to maintain proper equipment operation, and product quality.Take samples, perform control tests and make changes in the operation, as necessary, to maintain product quality and production rates. Obtain samples, as required by the Quality Control Laboratory, mark them properly and deliver them to the lab.Thoroughly inspect all the equipment, the Gels Operator will make sure it is operating properly.Perform minor repairs and adjustments; as need for them arises, and report promptly to Supervisor, any need for major repairs.Ensure all areas are kept clean, orderly, and safe.Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and requirements.Complete all required Environmental, Health and Safety training, including computer-based training and refresher training. Be fully available to receive the defined training for the Job and once trained also to train others to learn the Job whenever necessary.Comply with company policies.Comply with plant work rules and safety rules.Comply with all rules pertaining to a Food Grade Operation, such as, but not limited to: no eating, no smoking and no smokeless tobacco in the Gels Plant and Warehouse. Eating is permitted only in designated areas. Smoking and smokeless tobacco are permitted only in designated areas. Daily housekeeping is required and must be documented on housekeeping checklists.All applicable production log and shift handover sheets must be completed timely, accurately and completely.

    Requirements:

    High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environmentBe familiar with working with computers using commercial operating systems
