Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facilityLoading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraftMoving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facilityStacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructionsChecking loads are secureStacking empty palletsPerforming daily equipment checksExamining products to verify conformance to quality standards
Qualification requirements
High School diploma or equivalentPrevious loading/unloading experience is preferredForklift experience 1 year (Spacer, Sit Down Forklift)Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be requiredHigh degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environmentFollow instructions for operating equipment and keeping recordsExecute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe mannerMaintain a clean & safe environmentWill be required to use RF scanner gun (WMS-Cadence experience preferred)

Regularly sitting/standing on a powered forkliftRegularly standing on a powered reach truckFrequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of timeHaving a good sense of balanceHaving good eye-hand-foot coordinationAbility to assess weights and judge distances and heightsAbility to work in a cold environment were temps can range from 40 deg.
