    Meriwether Godsey is seeking a Chef Director to lead all dining and catering operations at an independent school serving grades 4 through 8 located in North Philadelphia, PA. What the Chef Director will do: - Manage all account activities to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently and reflect the MG brand - Lead all phases of financial planning, budget/cost analysis, and reporting to set, monitor, and achieve operating and financial goals - Lead by example; engaging and developing direct reports and team members through ongoing support, monitoring, coaching, and feedback. - Lead team in preparing meal production while embracing fresh, local, scratch; oversee menu development, purchasing, and production, incorporating the latest trends and practices - Deliver high-end catering; oversee booking, planning, execution, and communication related to all campus catered events, as well as any off-campus events. - Foster an inclusive environment for all staff and guests; maintain effective client and customer-centric relationships. - Maintain HACCP standards and a healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees. - Lead all personnel decisions, to include recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and firing, growth, and development of team members, and performance monitoring. What the Director of Dining Services will need: - Associate's degree or 5+ years of experience in Contract Food Service Operation, High-End Catering Management, and Campus Dining experience. - ANSI Food Protection Manager, Alcohol and Allergen Certified - Demonstrated understanding and proficiency with email, internet, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace products, as well as accounting, timekeeping, and HR management systems. - Competence in applied mathematics (arithmetic, algebra, and statistics) necessary for unit conversion and calculating rates, ratios, and percentages. - Knowledge of culinary equipment operation procedures, routine maintenance, and cleaning practices - Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in economic and accounting principles and practices, including data analysis and reporting of financial data, and effective budgetary control. - Ability to rapidly learn, follow instructions, and accurately record information in adherence to company policies and systems.     Meriwether Godsey está buscando un supervisor de catering que sea responsable de ayudar a la administración en todos los aspectos de las operaciones de catering en Sweet Briar College, una cuenta de alto volumen ubicada en Amherst VA.

    Qué harás:

    Qué necesitas:

    Se prefiere título asociado o experiencia mínima de supervisión de 2 años en servicio de alimentos (BOH o FOH).

    Conocimiento práctico de las operaciones de catering; Experiencia demostrada en la promoción e impulso del programa de catering.

    Poseer y exhibir el impulso para brindar un servicio excepcional.

    Fuertes habilidades de comunicación, organización y resolución de problemas.

    Habilidades de liderazgo emergentes y fuerte orientación al servicio al cliente.

    Capacidad para trabajar en un entorno de equipo colaborativo y al mismo tiempo fomentar relaciones sólidas con los clientes.

    Certificación de manipuladores de alimentos de ServSafe o capacidad de obtenerla dentro de los 6 meses posteriores al empleo.

    Capacidad para trabajar noches y fines de semana.

    Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Full-time Catering Supervisor who will assist management in all aspects of Catering operations at a coeducational international day school in Northwest Washington, DC.

    Must be available to work: Primarily Monday-Friday with nights and weekends as needed for catering events.



    What the Catering Supervisor will do:

    Assist management in the training and supervision of staff during all aspects of catered events to ensure high-quality service standards and presentations are met. Greet and welcome guests and respond to specific requests in a courteous manner. Serve and replenish beverages and food; remove dishes and utensils at the end of each course, meal, or function. Monitor and supervise the setup and maintenance of the dining area and food stations to ensure quality standards.     What the Catering Manager will do:

    Manage all Dining Room, Bar, and Catering activities to achieve optimal use of resources to ensure operations run smoothly, efficiently, and reflect the MG brand

    Identify opportunities to expand restaurant & catering growth

    Assist leadership in maintaining seasonal offerings to meet customer demand

    Tend bar and expedite food during high-volume times

    Set up and execute all special programs for the Restaurant/Bar operations, adhering to MG branding standards.

    Consult with customers to determine their catering requirements and propose MG catering options; organize venues/equipment, supervise catering staff, and coordinate the preparation and serving of food during events

    Coordinate transportation for food and catering equipment

    What the Catering Manager will need:


    Associate's Degree or 3-5 years of related experience in hospitality

    2+ years hands-on restaurant/bar management experience required

    2+ years of extensive catering management experience required

    Working knowledge of Restaurant/Bar retail operations; demonstrated experience in promoting and driving special food and beverage programs

    Prior experience using and maintaining POS systems, cash handling, ordering, and inventory is required

    Virginia’s Program (RSVP) and Managers’ Alcohol Responsibility Training (MART) certified (or ability to obtain)

    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

    Participative management style, emerging leadership skills, and strong customer service orientation

    Ability to work in a collaborative team environment while fostering strong client and customer relationships.

    ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification preferred

    Valid Driver’s License and Personal Vehicle (mileage is reimbursed)
