    WIC Dietitian Key Responsibilities:

    Display a positive reflection of the Indiana WIC Program, both in the clinic and through community outreach activities, which may include local Farmers’ Market events and collaborations with healthcare providers, non-profit organizations, and other community partners. Develop working relationships with other staff and partnering community agencies. Maintain a compassionate clinic environment that supports the needs of the community. Support and promote breastfeeding as the normative infant feeding method within the clinic environment.Provide all pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding clients with evidence-based breastfeeding support and education, within the clinic role’s scope of practice. Follow all policies and procedures of the Indiana WIC program.Provide written information to clients regarding Medicaid, agencies that provide Drug and Substance Abuse counseling, and other social service agencies. Document required information in the Indiana WIC Management Information System (INWIC MIS) to complete certification and nutrition education contact procedures. Complete nutrition assessments and provide nutrition education and referrals tailored to the client’s living conditions, nutritional needs, food patterns, preferences, and dietary restrictions. Provide counseling using a client-centered approach.Lead group education classes and maintain related files and records. Document assessments (including anthropometrics), education, counseling, and referrals in the INWIC MIS. Create and tailor a food prescription using the INWIC MIS that is appropriate to the client’s needs. Schedule appointments using the Indiana WIC Management Information System (INWIC MIS).Ensure confidentiality of applicant and client information in accordance with WIC federal regulation.Participate in in-service education and staff meetings. Attend off-site conferences and meetings as needed or required by the position. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

    We are seeking WIC Dietitian candidates with the following qualities:

    Must be one of the following:

    Qualified Nutritionist Registered Dietician; orRegistration eligible to take the exam for the Commission on Dietetic Registration; orBachelor’s or master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or Nutrition SciencesRegistered NurseA graduate of a bachelor’s or master’s program in a health-related field which, through review of an official transcript from an accredited college, includes a study in nutrition. Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required.

    We are currently seeking a full time School Based Registered Nurse (RN) for our school based health clinics located in Wayne County. This position will work a school based calendar and travel between school clinics in the district as needed.

    Key Responsibilities of a School Based RN:

    Responds to requests from students/caregivers/clients concerning the effectiveness of medications, side-effects, special precautions or problems with medication and consults with medical staff as appropriate to provide directions on changes/modifications to the prescribed medication regimens.Oversee documentation in Medication Administration Record (MAR) and provide corrections as necessary.Document as appropriate in the school-based record and the MHS electronic system if a MHS patient visit takes place.Phone in prescription orders to pharmacies as directed by medical staff.Review lab and test results, reporting concerns and abnormal results to medical staff.Obtain medical histories and do physical assessments as directed by medical staff. Including vital signs and other point-of-care testing. Provide health screenings as needed and direct students/clients to appropriate integrated medical care services.Administer injectable medications as ordered by medical staff.Provide as needed, educational groups, and one-on-one teaching to students/their caregivers and clients concerning their medications, diagnosis and health related issues.Complete required clinical documents for review/approval by a member of the medical staff.Participate in reviews and modifications of students/clients' services during treatment planning.Assist with maintenance of student health records, providing annual screenings, testing and follow up on immunizations through the Indiana Department of Education.Function as a liaison with students/caregivers with emergency room, physician offices, pharmacies, and the MHS Provider (if a patient) to clarify medication order, obtain proper prescriptions, labs, testing, and referrals and obtain appointments as needed.Complete other documentation to ensure accurate and timely information for client and third-party billing.Up to 10% travel for training and coverage at other locations as needed.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of all Meridian buildings and grounds in various counties, based out of Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana working M-F 7:30 - 4:00 with with potential 24/7 on call rotation with other maintenance technicians.

    Travel is required and candidate must have valid driver's license. Company vehicles will be used to travel to Meridian sites.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Meridian Health Services is currently seeking a fee for service Security Officer for our River Bend Hospital located in West Lafayette, Indiana. This position is responsible for providing a safe, secure environment at River Bend Hospital and to ensure that all persons are treated respectfully and fairly. This position will work 40 hours per week – hours are Monday through Friday 9a-530p

    Security Officer Key Responsibilities:

    Monitor activity and flow of all consumers at the facility.Assist and maintain an orderly environment ensuring that all rules of River Bend Hospital are followed.Assist staff, as directed, in times of crisis.Assist in containing situations as directed by staff.Assist local police, etc. at facility as needed.Provide routine security rounds of facility.Provide a safe/secure environment for staff and consumers.Perform (or assist with) general clerical duties, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, etc.Perform basic facilities maintenance and grounds keeping.Assist with camera monitoring.Other duties as assigned.
