Your Role: MilliporeSigma is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure optimal performance of our cGMP facilities, equipment, and associated HVAC systems. This position is located at the Cherokee site on South Broadway in St. Louis. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will work on HVAC systems and is responsible for maintenance and performance of Air Conditioners, Air Handlers, Chillers, Freezers and coolers, Walk-In Controlled Temperature systems, Hot Water Systems, Lyophilizers (Freeze Dryer), and other electromechanical systems. The technician is responsible for asset performance through predictive and preventative maintenance, alarm response and troubleshooting, and will inspect and repair systems in compliance with cGMP. Responsibilities: * Follow prescribed safety and environmental rules, cGMP regulations, and maintain high quality records. * Collaborate with Engineering and Operations groups to ensure and facilitate maintenance on all production and facility equipment with emphasis on equipment uptime and to resolve quality and production related issues. * Perform all types of HVAC/Refrigeration maintenance and repair, industrial installations and commissioning, and repairs as needed. * Oversee contract service providers and supports contractors executing work for the company. * Embrace the spirit of continuous improvement and asset reliability. * Read, interpret, and update electrical, mechanical, and P&ID drawings, PM Tasks, and other Equipment records as necessary. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED. * 5+ years' industrial HVAC experience. OR * Associate's degree in HVAC or other Industrial maintenance discipline. * 3+ years' of industrial HVAC experience. AND * Certification to handle, dispense, and recover ODS refrigerants. * 1+ years of industrial electricity, electronic controls, and safe work practices. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with DCS, PLC, and/or Building Automation Systems (BAS) control systems. * Experience problem solving and troubleshooting systems in an industrial environment. * Experience performing electrical troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC systems. * Experience performing brazing, soldering, and welding repairs on HVAC systems. * Experience reading and understanding blueprints and technical drawings. * Experience with software systems such as Delta V (DCS), Siemens (BMS), or other control systems. * Ability to be self-directed (autonomous) in managing routine work. Your Role: At MilliporeSigma, the Chemical Packaging Operator 1 - 1st shift will manually and semi-automatically portion chemicals into containers using safety equipment and following protocols.   Job duties include: * 1st Shift:  Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm * Verify hood and safety equipment function, obtain process order, scan into computer system, verify electronic balance is calibrated. * Verify match of process order and bulk container lot numbers. * Obtain correct type and quantity of containers for process order. * Operate powered pallet and drum movers. * Verify weighed bottles and determine if quantity matches process order requirements. * Pull samples for customers and/or quality control. * Complete paperwork including tray tags, process orders, and computer PKRV scan. * Document process order for specific required data, inclusive of weighing accountability to assure the accuracy of the weighed material using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). * Fill out data for tray tags and affix to each tray or case of filled bottles. * Complete production logs. * Maintain equipment, tools, and facilities in safe, clean environment. * Assemble, disassemble semiautomatic powder or liquid dispensing equipment, and replace worn or disposable parts as necessary. * Clean semi-automatic dispensing equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and chemical safety protocols. * Clean tools and utensils with appropriate material in hood according to chemical safety protocols. * Clean hood/workstation according to method and protocol for specific chemical weighed. * Assemble, test, maintain, and use appropriate safety equipment. * Clean and maintain reusable safety equipment for next use. * Facilitate packaging operations by providing support for weighers and moving material within the department. * Procures bulk and package components for weighers. * Maintain, clean, and safe work areas and equipment following 5S standards. * Take necessary steps to ensure we provide our customers with the highest quality product possible. * Immediately report any situation that could compromise safety or quality Physical Attributes: * Work near moving mechanical parts. * Wear Personal Protective Equipment, "PPE", including but not limited to hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes * Work in wet, humid, or abnormally hot or cold environments. * Lift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: * Ability to read instructions and understand oral and written instructions. * 6 + months of experience weighing hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals using precision equipment into specific containers * Experience of safety equipment and semi-automated equipment * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills RSREMD Pay Range for this position: $20.00-$32.00/hourly The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
