Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the general direction of the Director/Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy, performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician. Duties may include:
Medical gas administration, aerosol therapyObtaining and analyzing blood specimensPerforming patient testingOperating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment.Additional responsibilities include completing documentation in patient records, cleaning equipment and maintaining safety and infection control practices. What qualifications you will need: Currently enrolled in an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program. Maintains a GPA of 2.0 or greater.Current BLS certificationCurrent Kansas Student License (or within 60 days of hire) from the KBHA. Job Summary and Qualifications
The role of the Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery is to provide care to the perinatal patient under the direction of the Charge Nurse, the Manager, and the Director of the Family Birthing Center. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Menorah Medical Center and professional organizations and in support of the mission of Menorah Medical Center. Care is provided in a family centered environment. The Labor and Delivery nurse provides care for adolescents (12-17 years), adult women (18-64 years), and newborns. Ongoing education including Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring, STABLE, and other courses as required by Perinatal Safety Initiatives.

Job Summary and QualificationsThe role of the Registered Nurse is that of a circulating nurse although scrubbing skills are valuable to this position and are utilized in providing patient care. The nurse provides and supervises patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director in conjunction with the OR team. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient/family, and in support of the mission of Menorah Medical Center. The Registered Nurse in 701 Surgery provides care for patients from all 5 PNDS developmental groupings (Child 1-12 y/o, Adolescent 13-18 y/o, Adult 18-64 y/o, and Senior Adult > 65 y/o. Nursing positions require scheduled as well as "call" commitments.

Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement On-call is required during select non-business hoursWhat you will do in this role:
Evaluate patients prior to surgery Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy Recognize and respond to patient emergencies Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team - consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures What qualifications you will need: Prior Surgery experience preferredExperience in circulating and scrubbing preferredIf new to the OR prefer 2 years of progressive acute care nursing experienceBasic Cardiac Life Support(RN) Registered NurseRegistered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors DegreeMenorah Medical Center is a full-service, 150+ bed acute care hospital and ER.
