    Joe DiMaggio Children s Hospital Heart Institute is seeking a skilled pediatric electrophysiologist to join our multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates should be board-certified in pediatric cardiology with at least one additional year of fellowship training in pediatric electrophysiology. The candidate must hold IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examination) certification, as well as certification as either a CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist) or CEPS-P (Certified EP Specialist-Pediatrics), with CEPS-P being preferred. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced pediatric electrophysiologist, proficient in device implantation and catheter ablation, with the ability to contribute new expertise to our programs.

    The current faculty includes: three surgeons, four interventional cardiologists, three heart failure/transplant cardiologists, five advanced imaging cardiologists, two electrophysiologists, two adult congenital cardiologists, and one inpatient cardiologist. Current volumes include 90-100 EPS/ablation procedures and 25 device implants in the cath lab per year. The workload is anticipated to increase in the next few years with the establishment of an accredited adult congenital heart program.

    This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity

    Summary: Under the general direction of the Chief Therapist, the Radiation Therapist contributes to the organizational plan of the Radiation Oncology Unit, to the quality of patient care and supports the institutional philosophy. The Radiation Therapist is technically competent at the entry level and interacts with other areas of the department. Applies ionizing radiation to the patient, as instructed and prescribed by the physician according to departmental standards, state guidelines, and Memorial Healthcare System’s policy and procedures. As designated, acts as a Charge Therapist and coordinates technical activities and acts as the point person in the absence of the Chief Therapist. Required: *Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL) *ARRT_American Registry of Radiology Tech (ARRT) *BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) Responsibilities: Reviews physician's orders and radiation therapy treatment plan. Educates patient regarding procedures to ensure patient's understanding. Assists patient and family with any problems or concerns and to refers to proper resource personnel. Identifies and reports potential liabilities and risks management to Chief Therapist. Performs CT-Sim procedures and documents accurately. Executes simulations in accordance with department policies and procedures. Prepares room and equipment properly for each simulation and monitors patient. Performs special procedures (4D CT Respiratory Gating, HDR, TBI, SRS, SBRT, Oral and IV Contrast, Urethrogram) and monitors patient for adverse reactions and quickly seeks assistance of a nurse or physician. Completes treatment documentation. Prepares room and equipment properly for each treatment. Performs imaging (CBCT, KV, MV, respiratory gating) as ordered, to position patient. Analyzes results, identifies issues and takes appropriate action including repositioning patient and repeating procedure to deliver therapy according to treatment plan. Performs special procedure treatments (HDR, TBI, SRS, SBRT) and completes treatment documentation.
