Job Summary and QualificationsThe Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist is required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients per the needs of the modality/department. The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist is required to utilize sterile techniques, if necessary, operate complex imaging equipment and assist physicians as necessary. Continuing education, learned skills and experience will be utilized. This position will function without constant supervision to produce superior quality imaging studies. The Multi-Modality Technologist must routinely work within a minimum of two qualifying modalities as directed by department managers/supervisors to meet the specific needs of the department. Performs all duties relating to the specific primary an d post primary imaging modalities in which they are working. This includes Diagnostic, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound. Job Summary and QualificationsThe EP Technologist assists in all procedures performed in the EP area. The EP Technologist requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology in a safe patient care.
The EP Technologist demonstrates an expert knowledge of radiological equipment and safety, shielding techniques, expert imaging skills and X-ray equipment trouble-shooting skills, analyzing, 3D mapping and recording equipment and other equipment utilized in the Electrophysiology Lab, and performs unit-based activities, which contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
The EP Technologist demonstrates the ability to function in all of the positions with the exception of nursing. Essential information is shared through documentation and verbal communication.
Requirements:
Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular technology is required.
One year of Cath Lab experience, performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures highly preferred.
If not RCIS, RCES, then must be eligible to take the credentialing examination and obtain RCIS or RCES within 6 months of hire.
