We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team! As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will be working closely with Occupational Therapists to provide therapy and support for our patients. You will be following plans of care previously laid out, assisting your patients with using adaptive devices, and maintaining all therapy spaces and equipment. The ideal candidate has strong time management skills, excellent customer service skills, and knowledge of occupational therapy guidelines and recommendations.
Responsibilities
Read, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for patients under your careAssist patients with using adaptive equipment, modified exercises, and learning basic life skillsAssist Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as neededAssemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basisAttend care plans for patients, provide input, and go over patient care plansMaintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes Qualifications
Current state licensing for occupational therapy assistance requiredPrevious experience working in an occupational therapy setting desiredStrong customer service skills and a positive attitudeStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong time management skillsThe ability to make decisions in a high-stress environment
