    Responsibilities

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent. 1–3 years of pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred. CPhT certification preferred for higher pay; non-certified candidates are welcome to apply. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Excellent attention to detail and basic math skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join a growing Long-Term Care pharmacy team in Sulphur Springs, Texas. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a pharmacist who is passionate about delivering safe, accurate, and high-quality pharmaceutical care while working in a collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Review and evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, route of administration, potential drug interactions, contraindications, and geriatric considerations.

    Ensure accurate dispensing of medications while maintaining compliance with all applicable state, federal, and company regulations.

    Maintain required pharmacy documentation and quality assurance records.

    Conduct audits of automated dispensing systems to verify medication accuracy.

    Provide clinical support by responding to medication-related questions from healthcare professionals and pharmacy staff.

    Assist in supervising, training, and supporting pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy personnel.

    Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds, including IV medications, following current pharmacy standards and guidelines.

    Promote compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

    Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support continuous process improvement efforts.

    Foster a collaborative, patient-centered work environment focused on safety and excellence.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited School of Pharmacy.

    Current, unrestricted Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Pharmacist License.

    Valid driver's license.

    Preferred:

    Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience.

    Experience with FrameworkLTC or similar pharmacy management software.
