    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Product Line Manager will lead the development, positioning, and lifecycle management of these product portfolios. This role will be responsible for driving product strategy, ensuring market competitiveness, and delivering innovative products that align with brand objectives and customer needs. This includes gathering metrics for presentations (business cases, retrospective analyses, and weekly new product committee meetings). Efforts focused on improving existing products and researching, developing and launching new products. Responds to company initiatives by driving new products to meet customer needs. Ensures that products conform to safety standards. Checks possible flaws of existing products and apply the necessary improvements/enhancements


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Grows company revenue by developing new products and correcting flaws in current productsManages product certification processDrive innovation in materials, ergonomics, durability, and performance and develops prototypes with partnering factoriesLead end-to-end product development for glove product lines from concept through commercializationWorks with vendors to develop new products and identify issues with incoming productsParticipates in quality assurance processWorks with product management team to ensure process is efficientEnsures revenue and customer satisfaction goals are metAdvises vendors on best practices and methods to correct issuesSupport go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and training materialsRequired to travel domestically and internationally for research, product development meetings, customer meetings, and site visits with factoriesPerforms other duties as assigned


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor’s degree in Product Design (or related certification) required.


    EXPERIENCE

    7–10+ years of product development, preferably in PPE. Experience working with domestic and international factoriesStrong technical understanding of protective materials, garment engineering, and performance testing.

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    Strong development skills and understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and product construction and fitLeadership skills: experience in managing design/technical design staff to develop quality productsAbility to recognize and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment and diplomacyProficiency in Design software, Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to vendors, customers, clients, and other employeesAbility to communicate technical information via tech packs and emailAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructionsAbility to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situationsExceptional organization skills requiredAbility to multi-task

    ADDITIONAL INFROMATION

    The Salary Range for this position at Mechanix Wear, LLC is $90,000 - $125,000k Annual (USD). Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, skills, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, wellness benefits, education reimbursement program, and Vacation time.
