We are seeking an experienced Financial Aid Officer for immediate, temporary hire to support high-volume operational needs within the Financial Aid Department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely processing, compliance, and student support related to federal and institutional financial aid programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-driven.
Key Responsibilities
Provide guidance to students and families regarding available financial aid programs.
Assist students with financial aid applications and required documentation.
Perform verification processes and resolve conflicting information.
Enter and update financial aid data in the institutional system (DiamonSIS).
Process awards, Pell projections, and loan originations.
Monitor loan entrance and exit counseling and required documentation.
Respond to student inquiries via phone and in person.
Minimum Qualifications
College degree in accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Prior experience in Financial Aid or higher education administration preferred.
Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with information systems and data entry.
