As a Territory Manager, you will travel to various locations and job sites and accurately assist in install or repair security systems based on customer specifications and location restrictions. This can include Security, Fire, locks of all types, access control, CCTV, remotes, and more. The ideal candidate has experience with security installation or similar electronic products, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and an analytical way of thinking. 
    Position Overview
    The Territory Manager for MDI Security will oversee the entire field operations within the region. Maintain the standards, NFPA codes, and safety requirements. The Territory Manager will manage technicians, supervise daily activities, maintain quality assurance, and uphold high performance standards. Additionally, the position is responsible for maintaining all required licenses and ensuring the team is fully compliant. Key responsibilities include hiring and training, performance evaluations, and operational efficiency. You will also prepare detailed monthly reports on completed work, ongoing projects, and key performance indicators to provide leadership with clear visibility into territory operations.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Operational Leadership

    Oversee daily field operations, including installations, inspections, maintenance, and service.Ensure compliance with company standards, NFPA codes, and local regulations.Perform regular site visits to verify workmanship, code compliance, and customer satisfaction.Manage scheduling, project timelines, and resource allocation.Review and approve technician work orders, time entries, and project documentation.Licensing & Compliance

    Maintain and hiold all necessary state and local licenses for fire alarm, security, CCTV, and access control work.Ensure all technicians are properly licensed, certified, and current with renewals and training.Oversee continuing education and compliance documentation for the team.Stay informed on regulatory updates and implement policy changes as needed.Personnel Management

    Recruit, hire, and train qualified technicians to meet workload demands.Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and address disciplinary matters.Foster a professional, safety-focused work culture emphasizing teamwork and accountability.Manage workforce planning and succession strategies to support growth.
    Customer & Vendor Relations

    Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in the assigned region.Resolve escalated service issues promptly and professionally.Manage vendor relationships and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery.
    Qualifications

    5+ years of experience in the security and fire alarm industry.Executive leadership and field management experience is a plus.Must possess all required licenses and certifications applicable to the assigned territory for security and fire alarm systems.NICET Level III Certification in Fire Alarm Systems a plus.Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 70 (NEC), and state licensing requirements.Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

    Job Overview

    MDI Security is seeking Fire & Security Technicians to support the installation, service, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and electronic security solutions across Florida, with additional travel as required by project demand.

    This is a field-based, hands-on role for technicians who are disciplined, reliable, and comfortable working independently in commercial and industrial environments.

    Core Technical Requirements

    Candidates must demonstrate verifiable, hands-on experience with the following platforms:

    Fire-Lite

    Bosch Fire Alarm Systems

    CCTV Systems (IP & Analog)

    Access Control Systems

    GeoVision CCTV / NVR Platforms

    Key Responsibilities

    Install, service, and troubleshoot commercial fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable)

    Install and maintain CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, and low-voltage systems

    Perform system testing, inspections, and preventive maintenance

    Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site with minimal supervision

    Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation

    Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, local AHJ requirements, and company standards

    Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time

    Communicate professionally with clients regarding system status and recommendations

    Coordinate with internal technical teams as required

    Required Qualifications

    Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with fire alarm and/or security systems

    Proven experience with low-voltage wiring

    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

    Ability to work independently in the field

    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

    English required; Spanish is a plus

    Preferred Certifications (Strong Plus)

    Florida Fire Alarm License (or ability to obtain)

    NICET Level I or II (or in process)

    OSHA safety training

    Manufacturer certifications (Fire-Lite, Bosch, CCTV platforms)

    Travel & Availability (Required)

    Regular travel within Florida

    Occasional travel to other U.S. states depending on project needs

    Flexibility to work early starts or extended days when required by deployments
