    MCR Health is seeking BC/BE, IM, or Family Medicine trained physicians for its established Hospitalist group in Bradenton. MCR Health is a private, not-for-profit, primary and specialty care network. Our purpose is to provide outstanding patient care based upon the principles of cooperation, compassion, and innovation. Today, MCR is the largest Federally Qualified Health Care Center in the Southeast United States.

    Hospitalists provide quality medical care for the patients of MCR Health and ensure that the standards of care meet requirements. Responsible for care protocols and the adequacy of documentation while in the hospital setting. Hospitalists will admit all Family and Internal Medicine patients of MCR and admit MCR patients before surgery for other MCR specialists.

Our Hospitalists provide services at Manatee Memorial Hospital. This is a 319-bed hospital serving most of Manatee County. We are nestled on the west central Florida coast, just 40 minutes south of Tampa. Founded in the 1840s, the city is one of the oldest in southwest Florida.

    Schedule:

    7 on/7off with 2-3 nights on call

    As part of this role, you will:

    Provide counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to our patients in an outpatient office in Bradenton. (Option for hybrid work)Addictions counseling.Focus on 30-minute psychotherapy sessions.Develop and implement treatment plans.Provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services on-site, as required.Collaborate with the care team in assessing, planning, and implementing the patient's care plan.

    What you need to bring to this role:

    Licensed (in good standing) as a Clinical Social Worker in Florida Familiarity with and sensitivity to multi-cultural groups as related to family customs and child-rearing practices (preferably Hispanic culture).Knowledge of working with substance abuse disorders is a plus.Excellent listening/ interpersonal skills.Knowledge and a high level of comfort working with an Electronic Health Record platform.Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
