Job Summary:
The Associate Attorney will report directly to the Managing Partner of Foreclosure South. The right candidate must be licensed and in good standing in the State of Alabama and should have a minimum of two (2) years as a practicing attorney. New graduates or recently licensed candidates will not be considered. Candidates licensed in either GA, TX, or MS (in addition to AL, which is required) will be strongly preferred. The Associate Attorney will focus on title review and title curative responsibilities, as well as nonjudicial foreclosure tasks. As such, experience in real estate law and title review/clearance is required. The position requires substantial coordination with staff, clients, and other attorneys. This position is designated as hybrid or remote based on experience level and geographical location. If position is remote some in-person/in-office training may be required initially and periodically.
Duties and Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
· Knowledge of federal, state and local laws. Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations, normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and work experience
· Membership in the State Bar of Alabama required; admission in other states, especially Georgia, Texas, and/or Mississippi a plus

Represent mortgage servicer and investor clients in residential and commercial foreclosure, title and general real estate litigation, including consumer claims directly against the firm’s clients. Job Summary:

Education and Work Experience:
Knowledge of federal, state, and local lawsAbility to analyze case law and provide recommendationsJuris Doctor from an accredited law schoolRequires membership and good standing with the FL State Bar3+ years of foreclosure, title, and/or financial services experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Independently manage a portfolio of files for various clients.Ability to navigate throughout local and Florida jurisdictional requirements.Ability to courteously and professionally communicate with clients, vendors, team members, clerks or Judges in various counties as well as borrowers and defense attorneys.Must provide excellent customer service (internally and externally).Must be a self starter and possess good organizational and time-management abilities.Balance team and individual responsibilities; Contribute to building a positive team spirit.Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; Look for ways to improve and promote quality.Must possess exceptional organizational skills; have the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to change.High-level proficiency in MS Office suite.Proficiency in internet research activities.Familiarity with case and document management software, including client systems (BKFS, Tempo, Vendorscape, etc.)Good understanding of policies and procedures of law.Ability to delegate, follow-up, and monitor tasks to completion without significant supervision.Ability to operate computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, typewriter, and telephone.Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. This a full time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
