The Vice President, Operations is responsible for the end-to-end execution of manufacturing operations across Maverick Power’s production footprint, ensuring safe, predictable, and scalable performance that supports growth, on-time delivery, and margin objectives.
As a rapidly scaling manufacturer of engineered-to-order electrical control and power distribution systems, Maverick Power requires an operations leader who delivers results through discipline, clarity, and strong systems, not heroics. This role owns manufacturing execution, site leadership, production flow, and operating rigor, while reinforcing early issue visibility, accountability, and a bias for informed action.

Strategic & Executive Leadership
Lead and execute the company’s manufacturing operations strategy aligned with enterprise growth plans and capacity expansion.Serve as the senior executive accountable for daily, weekly, and near-term production performance, ensuring commitments are met through rigorous execution.Translate enterprise objectives into clear, measurable expectations for operations leadership.Build Operations into a scalable, repeatable execution engine capable of supporting high-mix, ETO/CTO manufacturing and rapid growth.Act with urgency while maintaining focus on long-term stability, safety, and sustainability of the operating system.Manufacturing Execution & Site Leadership
Own day-to-day manufacturing execution across all production sites, ensuring adherence to approved plans, safety standards, and quality requirements.Lead, coach, and develop site leadership through Operations leadership team, establishing consistent standards for execution and accountability.Establish and enforce a common operating cadence that provides visibility into performance, risks, and recovery actions.Create a culture of trust and accountability, where issues are raised early and addressed professionally.Ensure execution performance is achieved through standard work, clarity of ownership, and disciplined escalation, not last-minute heroics.Production Flow, Throughput & Continuous Improvement

Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or Industrial Management preferred.Minimum of 15 years of progressive operations or manufacturing leadership in discrete manufacturing environments.Proven success leading large, multi-site manufacturing organizations, ideally in ETO/CTO or high-mix engineered product settings.Demonstrated experience scaling production capacity, including new facility launches or major expansions.Experience in electrical equipment, power distribution, industrial systems, capital equipment, or closely related industries strongly preferred.Track record of improving on-time delivery, throughput, and operational stability without compromising safety, quality, or inventory integrity.Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, production flow, Lean principles, and continuous improvement.Strong analytical capability across operational KPIs, including throughput, labor productivity, yield, and capacity.Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production execution environments.Executive presence with the ability to lead through influence, clarity, and accountability.Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with complexity and competing priorities.Preferred Qualifications:

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with Maverick Power you will be working with our engineering and manufacturing teams to design and produce power distribution and control systems for industry leading customers all over the world. Your work will be exciting and varied working on projects which require knowledge of applications, electrical/electronics, mechanical, manufacturing, quality and safety. Never a dull day, and always a challenging problem to solve in a collaborative, goal focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical design for low and medium voltage switchgear, switchboards, panel boards, and control panels.Evaluate drawings and specifications to develop designs that meet customer requirements.Design electrical enclosures meeting applicable UL, ANSI, IEEE, etc. safety standards.Create bills of materials, specify parts, work with internal and external manufacturing.Develop test plans for product validation and certification.Work with 3rd party labs to test and analyze data.Act as point of contact with other Mavericks and outside engineering firms.Determine deliverable due dates and hold to the schedule.Lead interaction with other functions and locations to determine optimum product/process solutions.Additional responsibilities include but not limited to developing engineering solutions for the custom low-voltage switchboards, switchgear, panelboards, and medium-voltage switchgear, process improvement, and writing documentation.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical TechnologyMinimum of 5 years mechanical design experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience with 3D CAD, SolidWorks is preferred.Manufacturing experience regarding the assembly of bills of material, drawing packages, work instructions, and testing plansPrevious design experience with low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies/systems and associated equipmentPreferred Qualifications:
Solidworks CSWA/P/E certifications are desirable.Working knowledge of UL 891, UL 508A, IEEE/ANSI, and NEC/NFPA 70E standards.Physical Requirements:

The Manufacturing Engineer will drive production performance, strengthen safety practices and implement standardized processes within a manual manufacturing environment. This role is highly hands on and located at our Phoenix, Garland, Plano and McKinney facilities. Will work directly on the shop floor to improve workflow, increase throughput, and mentor Operations personnel to deliver measurable results. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in high-growth environments and enjoys building structure where it does not yet exist.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Improvement
Identify bottlenecks in manual operations and implement rapid improvements.Improve workstation design, material flow and cycle times. Increase output while maintaining quality and safety standards.Lead focused initiatives to meet aggressive production targets.Operational Standardization
Develop and implement standardized work instructions.Establish project tracking and accountability systems for engineering initiatives. Create repeatable processes to support growth and onboarding.Ensures improvements are documented and sustained.Ensures documentation meets QMS requirements.Safety
Identify operational risks introduced by rapid growth.Improve ergonomics and reduce manual strain. Standardize safe work practices across shifts and teams.Engineering Leadership
Provides daily structure and direction. Translate ideas into scoped, deadline driven projects.Hold multidisciplinary teams accountable to measure deliverables. Foster a culture of execution and continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong experience in manual production operationProven record of delivering measurable productivity improvementsExperience implementing standardized systems and developing documentationAbility to mentor and provide trainingComfortable working directly on the production floorPhysical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.Prolonged periods standing on the manufacturing floor and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves, etc.).Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside.Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.Work Environment:

Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical design for low and medium voltage switchgear, switchboards, panel boards, and control panels.Evaluate drawings and specifications to develop designs that meet customer requirements.Design electrical enclosures meeting applicable UL, ANSI, IEEE, etc. safety standards.Create bills of materials, specify parts, work with internal and external manufacturing.Develop test plans for product validation and certification.Work with 3rd party labs to test and analyze data.Act as point of contact with other Mavericks and outside engineering firms.Determine deliverable due dates and hold to the schedule.Lead interaction with other functions and locations to determine optimum product/process solutions.Additional responsibilities include but not limited to developing engineering solutions for the custom low-voltage switchboards, switchgear, panelboards, and medium-voltage switchgear, process improvement, and writing documentation.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical TechnologyMinimum of 10 years mechanical design experience.Minimum of 10 years of experience with 3D CAD, SolidWorks is preferred.Manufacturing experience regarding the assembly of bills of material, drawing packages, work instructions, and testing plansPrevious design experience with low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies/systems and associated equipmentPreferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience with FEA, CFD, and/or Electro-Magnetic simulation software such as Ansys, Abaqus, EMS, Simscale, or Solidworks.Solidworks CSWA/P/E certifications are desirable.Working knowledge of UL 891, UL 508A, IEEE/ANSI, and NEC/NFPA 70E standards.Physical Requirements:
