Maintenance Engineer

Maui Kaanapali Villas is an 11-acre beachfront property on the west side of Maui. We're looking to grow our team with experienced Maintenance Engineers who can work independently and handle complex repairs .
This role offers a wide pay range , with top wages reserved for candidates who bring strong hands-on experience across multiple trades .

What You'll Do
Inspections & Issue Detection
Perform routine checks across buildings, units, and equipment
Identify wear, damage, and system issues early
Repairs & Maintenance
Handle basic repairs: drywall, doors, fixtures
Address plumbing and electrical issues within scope
Replace locks, switches, filters, and HVAC components
Preventative Maintenance
Complete scheduled maintenance to reduce downtime
Maintain pumps, filters, fans, lighting, and mechanical systems
Troubleshooting
Diagnose issues across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances
Apply practical fixes with minimal disruption
Documentation
Record work orders, repairs, and inspections clearly
Track materials and equipment status
General Support
Assist with unit setups, furniture moves, and property projects
Follow safety procedures and use PPE
What We're Looking For
Preferred (Higher Pay Range Candidates)
3-5+ years of maintenance experience in hotels, resorts, or commercial properties
Strong working knowledge across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry)
Ability to diagnose issues quickly and complete repairs without supervision
Experience handling preventative maintenance programs and equipment systems
Minimum Qualifications
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and pool systems
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Ability to complete assigned tasks safely and reliably
