Role Summary To ensure the efficient production of goods and services, at your facility while staying within budget, on time and maintaining quality. This is a safety sensitive position. Duties and Responsibilities Plans and schedules production activities and supervises the production process. Ensures the effective management of production lines, including, but not limited to, completing quality work on time, in a cost effective and safe manner. Coaches, trains, counsels, and disciplines employees as needed. Motivates and inspires team. Provides production information by compiling and analyzing production performance data. Maintains a safe and clean work environment for all employees. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and cleaning per checklists, and maintaining records of all procedures. Is familiar with and complies with SQF Food Safety standards and ensures all product produced meets assigned quality standards. Works with other departments to effectively execute the policies and goals of the organization. Maintains Job Packets and ensures all necessary information is included. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Direct Reports: Production Supervisor, Line Leads Backups: Director of Manufacturing, Production Supervisor Qualifications and Skills Good mechanical aptitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must possess knowledge of good manufacturing methods, company operations, operating equipment, power and hand tools, and how to plan and manage projects. Able to work under limited supervision. Goal oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines related to detailed and complex situations. Working knowledge of SQF Food Safety requirements and continuous improvement methods. Knowledge of procedures, work instructions and associated paperwork as required. Physical Requirements Strong physical abilities. Requires the ability to move about the facility (plant and office), communicate with contacts, and able to operate and maintain factory equipment. Must be able to bend, stand/walk, sit for 8 hours or more, lift up to 25 pounds.
