    Dock & Door Service Technician

    Are you an experienced technician who enjoys solving mechanical and electrical problems while working independently? MHS Lift is looking for a Dock & Door Service Technician to join our growing service team. In this role, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial loading dock and door equipment while providing exceptional customer service throughout the region.

    What You'll Do

    Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial dock and door equipmentService dock levelers, overhead doors, vehicle restraints, dock seals, shelters, bumpers, and related equipmentDiagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and perform repairsComplete preventive maintenance inspections and recommend needed repairsCommunicate professionally with customers regarding equipment condition and repair recommendationsWork closely with dispatch to manage daily service schedulesCoordinate with the Parts Department to ensure timely repairsComplete electronic work orders and service documentation accuratelyMaintain company vehicle, tools, and equipmentFollow OSHA regulations and company safety proceduresParticipate in ongoing manufacturer training and professional development

    Required Qualifications:

    High school diploma, GED, or equivalent2–3 years of experience servicing dock and door equipment preferred, or comparable experience repairing industrial equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes, or other electro-mechanical systemsStrong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to read electrical schematics and service manualsBasic mechanic tools (specialty tools provided)Valid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely on ladders, at heights, and in varying weather conditionsStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple service calls efficiently

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with multiple manufacturers' dock and door equipmentManufacturer certifications such as Rite-Hite, Kelley, Serco, Poweramp, or similarExperience using tablets or mobile devices for service documentation

    What You’ll Do

    As the Senior Project Engineer, you’ll serve as a technical leader throughout the solution development and implementation process. Responsibilities include:

    Key Responsibilities:

    2 + years in Diesel, Small Engine, Automotive, or Heavy Equipment repair who are looking to transition into the Material Handling industry.
