Job Summary The Water Foreman leads the crew to complete daily tasks related to the installation and repair of water pipelines in a safe and correct manner. The position oversees crew safety and productivity, installing and pressure testing both mainline and service line water pipe, as well as completing routine safety inspections and documentation. This position oversees the Line team and works with customers, senior management, and personnel from other departments. Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate crew work to install water pipelines via open-cut or directional drill methods. Obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and materials for each job. Oversee, accomplish, and ensure all work quality related to each project and assume full responsibility for its standard and timeliness. In addition, you will: Receive incoming inventory and supply items, log into the company warehouse system, and stock inventory in the proper location Read work orders, shipping orders, or follow verbal instructions Fill customer invoices, check part numbers, clean and pack inventory items Inspect inventory for defects, scratches, or other damage; Notify Warehouse Manager of problems Follow all company safety and accident procedures while on company premises or operating company vehicles or equipment Track all inventory in the appropriate system Organize and clean warehouse space and company equipment as needed Report any customer problems or concerns immediately Coach fellow associates on warehouse operational practices and procedures, equipment operation, and safety procedures when needed Enforce policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations Evaluate current processes and procedures, and recommend changes to warehouse management Contribute ideas on ways to reduce warehouse cost per unit and increase productivity Maintain working knowledge of the warehouse data system and perform various tasks within the system When requested, deliver supplies and equipment in a timely fashion while observing all Regulated DOT and OSHA standards Other duties as assigned Read Less
