Project work includes project management, resource allocation, equipment management, and utility construction. Duties performed are associated with human resources, payroll, accounting, and administrative functions. This position supports the Construction team and works with field personnel, senior operations management, and customers. Responsibilities + Manage all projects to completion on-time and within budget. + Schedule the crews, identify and delegate the crews to start their work, review project timelines and expectations, and supervise work performance and job quality. + Participate in the hiring process and maintain all employment related paperwork (i.e. new hire paperwork, separation paperwork, employment data changes, etc.). + Promote a safe work environment, holding crews accountable to safe work practices. + Determine job costs, labor, and material needed, ensuring on-time deliveries. + Prepare and interpret drawings, graphs, maps, blueprints, bid documents, contracts, proposals, and specifications. + Identify and resolve any blueprint issues prior to and during construction. + Identify and supervise subcontractors to perform their tasks, inspect, and/or bill any relevant personnel/contractors. + Take responsibility for all personnel and any vehicles or equipment in their control. + Participate in meetings with senior operations management, peers, and/or customers. + Participate in estimating and bidding projects, contract negotiations, and change order preparation. This position manages field operations and works with customers, senior leaders, as well as personnel from various other departments. Responsibilities + Oversee total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. + Interface with field managers, clients, subcontractors, and owners to assure customer satisfaction. + Plan, coordinate, and/or supervise activities of all operations' employees on assigned projects. + Confer with project personnel to update project schedules on a weekly basis. + Keep direct contact with projects in progress by visiting project sites. + Assist in disputes on all projects, negotiating as required to reach a resolution of construction problems. + Oversee all bid projects, including P&L responsibility and management of fleet assets dedicated to bid projects. + Work with Office Manager to ensure compliance with all internal reporting deadlines. + Prepare weekly revenue and cost reports. + Prepare and submit invoicing on a weekly basis. Work to resolve all accounts receivable invoices over 51 days. + Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to and interpret policies as required. + Cultivate and continuously seek to enhance an in-depth understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities. + Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs.
