  The Fiber Installation Technician is responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, and disconnecting cable services, including video, data, and telephone. This role performs hands on field work involving the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic and coaxial cable systems and related equipment. In certain service areas, the technician will support dual platform environments requiring knowledge and use of both coaxial and fiber technologies. All work must be performed in accordance with established safety policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

  What do our Fiber Technicians do?

  Our technicians perform basic to advanced installation and troubleshooting for fiber optic broadband equipment and services. They complete installations, repairs, splicing, and integrations to existing infrastructure.

   

  Some essential duties of our fiber technicians are to:

  Install, splice, repair, and terminate fiber-optic cables and connectors in both indoor and outdoor settings with new and existing fiber optic infrastructure.Maintaining detailed records of installations, repairs, and equipment used. Generate accurate reports on work completed and document network configurations.Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility and responsibility in the performance of work assignmentsEnsure that the highest quality of service is provided to promote superior customer satisfaction.Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures in this safety-sensitive role

  Survey Foreman I Cash Construction, a MasTec Company, is hiring for a Survey Foreman I. The Survey Foreman provides the construction layout/survey for the company. Reporting to the Survey Manager, the Survey Foreman directs the survey crew in proper layout of the requested items while enforcing all company policies, procedures, and safety standards while working efficiently to meet project deadlines. Running of level loops and setting benchmarks to industry standards. Read and interpret project plans. Use time, material, and survey equipment efficiently. Plan work in an effective and efficient manner to maximize progress in a safe and timely manner. Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's safety program and encourage all employees and subcontractors to adopt safety as a culture. Perform and review safe work plans/hazard assessments with the crew prior to starting work. Work with the safety department to investigate damage, incidents, or near misses in the work site and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the company's safety program. Work in a safe responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself or the endanger the wellbeing of others. Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas. Participate as vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support as required. Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred Class C driver's License Minimum 3 years' experience in infrastructure construction Minimum 2 years as a Foreman or Party Chief with construction layout experience Wide knowledge of survey industry standards and practices Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
