The Fiber Installation Technician is responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, and disconnecting cable services, including video, data, and telephone. This role performs hands on field work involving the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic and coaxial cable systems and related equipment. In certain service areas, the technician will support dual platform environments requiring knowledge and use of both coaxial and fiber technologies. All work must be performed in accordance with established safety policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

What do our Fiber Technicians do?
Our technicians perform basic to advanced installation and troubleshooting for fiber optic broadband equipment and services. They complete installations, repairs, splicing, and integrations to existing infrastructure.
Some essential duties of our fiber technicians are to:
Install, splice, repair, and terminate fiber-optic cables and connectors in both indoor and outdoor settings with new and existing fiber optic infrastructure.Maintaining detailed records of installations, repairs, and equipment used. Generate accurate reports on work completed and document network configurations.Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility and responsibility in the performance of work assignmentsEnsure that the highest quality of service is provided to promote superior customer satisfaction.Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures in this safety-sensitive role

What You’ll Do
Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on assigned projectsExecute and maintain the project plan to schedule and budgetTrack progress, generate weekly reports, and maintain 3-week lookaheadsEnsure quality of workmanship and materials meets project standardsConduct project meetings with team members and management as neededReview plans, resolve issues proactively, and advise Superintendent on potential risksEnforce site-specific plans and safety protocols in line with EEI’s cultureSubmit weekly timesheets to payroll and maintain daily job diaryPerform duties at all levels of the project—from Groundman to Leadman
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements:
