    The Opportunity
    As an Executive Underwriting Consultant you will be responsible for making individually underwritten life insurance decisions for very large, complex cases. You'll work with the Chief Underwriter on reviewing current policy, requirements and procedures to determine changes necessary to enhance our service in the marketplace.

    The Impact:

    This position provides underwriting decisions on Jumbo cases (typically 20 million and up, or 10 million and $150,000 or premium).Approval limit is up to $50 million.Provide underwriting expertise on business exceptions, second signatures and mentoring for the underwriting managers and underwriting department.Promote consistency across all underwriting units.Enhance reinsurance relationships and involvement in the produce development and reinsurance negotiations process.High-level presence in the product development process.Work closely with the Advanced Sales area.Involvement with the Medical Department regarding preferred guidelines, age and amount requirements, and reinsurance discussions.Serve as back-up to Chief Underwriter

    Minimum Qualifications

    The Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree

    5+ years' experience in a strategy, business operations, consulting, or product management role within wealth management, lending, banking, or fintech.

    2+ years of demonstrated ability to think strategically, connect solutions to business outcomes, and guide stakeholders through ambiguity.

    2+ years of experience delivering business updates to leadership, including crafting concise executive summaries for senior stakeholders.

    2+ years' experience leading strategic planning, business transformation, or product innovation that delivered measurable growth.

    1+ year of experience leveraging data including a familiarity with data analytics techniques and being able to analyze to draw out insights and implications

    Due to the nature of this position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA.

    The Ideal Qualifications
