What you'll do

Directly supervise, coach, and evaluate Restoration Technicians on an ongoing basisSet clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable to quality and productivity standardsConduct regular check-ins and provide timely, constructive feedback to direct reportsIdentify performance issues early and work with the Operations Manager to address them appropriatelyFoster a team culture built on open communication, accountability, and continuous improvementParticipate in hiring decisions for production division personnel, including interviews and candidate evaluationAssist in the discharge process for production personnel when necessary, in coordination with the Operations ManagerRecruiting & onboarding
Partner with the Operations Manager to identify staffing needs based on project volume and team capacityParticipate in the recruitment process for field technicians, including sourcing, interviewing, and recommending candidatesLead or support the onboarding of new Restoration Technicians, ensuring they understand company standards, safety protocols, and job site expectations from day oneEnsure new team members are properly equipped, trained on equipment and procedures, and integrated into active projects smoothlyTraining & development

Directly supervise, coach, and evaluate Restoration Technicians on an ongoing basisSet clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable to quality and productivity standardsConduct regular check-ins and provide timely, constructive feedback to direct reportsIdentify performance issues early and work with the Operations Manager to address them appropriatelyFoster a team culture built on open communication, accountability, and continuous improvementParticipate in hiring decisions for production division personnel, including interviews and candidate evaluationAssist in the discharge process for production personnel when necessary, in coordination with the Operations ManagerRecruiting & onboarding
Partner with the Operations Manager to identify staffing needs based on project volume and team capacityParticipate in the recruitment process for field technicians, including sourcing, interviewing, and recommending candidatesLead or support the onboarding of new Restoration Technicians, ensuring they understand company standards, safety protocols, and job site expectations from day oneEnsure new team members are properly equipped, trained on equipment and procedures, and integrated into active projects smoothlyTraining & development
Identify skill gaps within the team and coordinate appropriate training opportunitiesFacilitate on-the-job training for technicians, including hands-on instruction in mitigation techniques, documentation practices, and safety complianceSupport team members in pursuing IICRC certifications and other professional development milestonesAssist in conducting company meetings and contribute to a culture of ongoing learningModel the standards of excellence, integrity, and customer focus that define Restoration 1's workWhat we're looking for
3-5 years of experience managing construction or restoration projects and supervising field crewsHigh school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in business or construction management preferredAdvanced knowledge of building construction, remodeling, or restoration practicesStrong understanding of job costing, financial reporting, and profitability managementProven ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of field techniciansExperience participating in hiring, onboarding, or training of field personnelExcellent written and verbal communication skills - able to work effectively with customers, adjusters, and crew alikeHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneouslyProficiency in MS Word/Google Docs and Excel/Google Sheets; Xactimate experience a plusStrong negotiation skills and a customer-first mindsetValid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sitesRequired certifications
