    Located at 969 Main Street, Suite 205, Millis MA 02054, our Primary Care practice provides complete care to both individual patients and whole families, including: infants, children, teens, adults, and seniors. We deliver a full range of preventive and health maintenance care. Our doctors also treat a range of acute and chronic health problems. In addition, we coordinate our patients' care when they need treatment by specialists. We are a small office with a close-knit team of Providers, Medical Assistants and front desk staff who run our practice as a cohesive team! If you are looking to join a collaborative team who works closely together this is the position for you!

    We are seeking a full-time 40-hour Medical Assistant II to support both our Millis (969 Main Street) and Walpole (111 Norfolk street) practices onsite. Our offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm (shifts are staggered within that time frame). This Medical Assistant will be expected to work Mondays, Tuesday and Fridays in Walpole and Wednesday and Thursdays at our Millis office.

    Our Medical Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to clinical support, the Medical Assistant ensures a smooth patient flow within the practice and assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physician or advanced practitioner.

    The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.

    Essential Functions:

    Assists junior Medical Assistants with day-to-day questions and responsibilities and helps facilitate their learning by participating in onboarding training.Show patients to examination rooms, prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers, and interview patients to obtain medical information, measure their vital signs, weight, and height, and record information in the patient's medical record.Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions to patients, ordering and organizing educational materials to reinforce patient education.Perform general office duties, such as answering phones, taking dictation, and completing insurance forms, while acting as a liaison with other departments and advocating for patients with a positive customer service approach.Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log them, and prepare them for testing; perform phlebotomy if competence is demonstrated.Maintains inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates.Provides immunizations (as applicable) which requires certification or 3 years of experience administering a vaccine and supervision of a provider.Responsible for improving appropriate departmental quality initiatives, such as two patient identifiers and hand hygiene.

    We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Lead Medical Assistant to join our Orthopedics team! The desired schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

    This Lead Medical Assistant plays a key leadership role within a fast-paced, patient-centered orthopedic practice, providing hands-on clinical support while overseeing a team of three Medical Assistants and two Orthopedic Technicians. Responsibilities include rooming patients, assisting with orthopedic procedures, coordinating daily staffing coverage, stepping in to support coverage as needed, and ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care. In addition, the Lead Medical Assistant provides guidance and mentorship to the team, assists with scheduling, attends meetings, collaborates closely with practice leadership, and serves as a point of contact to escalate workflow or staffing concerns, requiring strong communication skills, clinical expertise, and a confident leadership approach.

    Job Summary

    The role is a vital member of the care team, responsible for exercising appropriate leadership and oversight of clinical operations and Medical Assistant staff throughout the assigned site or department under the direction of the Practice Manager. In addition to performing the duties of a Medical Assistant, the position serves as a role model and resource for site staff. Acting as a liaison between the site-based clinical staff, the Practice Manager, and the Medical Director or Physicians. The Lead facilitates office-wide communication, coordinates new clinical initiatives, and addresses clinical issue resolutions to enhance operational efficiency.
