Salary Range: $124,281 – $161,570 per year (commensurate with experience)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Orthopedic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic orthopedic surgery team. The provider will work directly with orthopedic surgeons to deliver high-quality care across the continuum—from pre-operative evaluation to post-operative management. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities and requires a strong foundation in musculoskeletal assessment, orthopedic procedures, and surgical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive orthopedic history and physical exams
Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests
Develop and implement orthopedic treatment plans
Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, per scope of practice and privileges
First-assist in orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, arthroscopy, fracture repairs, and sports medicine procedures
Perform clinic-based procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, splinting, and casting
Round on orthopedic inpatients, manage post-operative care, wound care, and follow-ups
Provide patient and family education related to procedures, recovery, and rehabilitation
Participate in outpatient clinics, pre-op evaluations, and post-op follow-up visits
Support surgical consults and emergency coverage for orthopedic trauma as needed
Participate in on-call rotation, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends
Collaborate closely with the orthopedic team to promote positive outcomes and continuity of care
Qualifications:
Master’s degree required
Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
