    Purpose: Mary Lee Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing diverse services and housing to adults with various types of disabilities.

    The Porter position will perform upkeep tasks such as basic repairs and cleaning. This position will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems, and ensuring facilities are tidy and functional for our residents, as well as staff offices. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Job is performed mostly 'outside'.

    Primary Duties/Responsibilities

    Performs light repairs and maintenance (such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging bathroom sinks and toilets) in a timely manner as dictated by supervisor and work-orders turned in to supervisor.Responsible for grounds maintenance such as mowing and trimming lawns, upkeep of grounds, building exteriors/windows and offices, parking lots and other community buildings. (Areas include: laundry rooms, dumpster area, recreation areas, general grounds, and walkways Responsible for detailing company vehicle’s inside and out, reporting damages to supervisor. Assist with power washing areas on property as needed. Assist with various physical tasks, such as moving furniture, or set-up/tear-down for eventsAssists with the cleaning and sanitizing of shared facilities and common spacesAssist with make-readies as neededAssist in the cleaning and maintenance of storage rooms and ensures that cleaning supplies are stocked.Represents the community in a professional manner at all times, on/off property.Preform daily property walks for safety hazards and curb appearance; reporting problems to supervisor or other appropriate staff.Performs other related duties as required.

    Minimum Requirements

    High school diploma/ equivalent OR 1 year of practical experience with demonstration of required skillsClean background checkHigh school diploma or equivalentAuthorized to work in the United StatesValid Driver’s License (is a must)Ability to understand English

    Working Conditions
    An occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials can be expected. May be asked to clean up bodily fluids with appropriate training and personal protective equipment provided.

    Physical Requirements:

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, frequent sitting, standing and walking, may be required for long periods of time and climbing stairs, walking up inclines, and on uneven terrain.     Purpose:
    Mary Lee Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit agency that provides a day program for adults, where clients receive training in daily living skills and pre-vocational activities. This position will provide direct support to clients we serve. Mary Lee Foundation has been serving individuals with disabilities since 1964. Mary Lee Foundation offers a generous benefit program that includes medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, paid time off and eight holidays.

    Essential Functions:Be awake, alert, creative, patient, innovative, and organized and available to assist residents at all times.Supervise and assist residents during meal preparation, housekeeping responsibilities, personal hygiene, grooming and other activities as needed.Complete records as designated by policies and procedures such as, but not limited to; documentation of training classes, progress notes, medication leave reports and any behavioral management programs.Provide input to individual program planning for residents. Train/instruct residents in areas in individual program plan under the training system established by the QIDP/CM, including supervision of residents in day program activities on various life, social and vocational skillsBe aware of the approximate location of all residents on assigned building.Supervise and assist residents in recreational activities both on campus and off campus.Assist in general upkeep and repair of facility such as, but not limited to: keeping inside and outside of vehicles clean and ensuring sufficient gasoline level for next usage, cleaning of facility grounds and/or buildings, and informing appropriate management staff for resolving noted problems areas.Teach independent living skills classes, supervise and assist participants with meal preparation, prompt and assist participants with personal hygiene, grooming and other activities as needed.Check attendance logs and service logs for accuracy and ensure they are turned in a timely manner.Make written reports of significant incidents that occur and inform appropriate staff if needed.Correct unacceptable behavior and help participants meet the necessary requirements of the day program rules.Provide first-aid as needed to participants and assist in the follow through on medical needs.Assist in maintaining all necessary supplies for day program such as: cleaning supplies, hygiene supplies, office supplies and supplies needed for classes.Assist and ensure general cleanliness and repair of day program and inform appropriate staff for resolving any areas that need repair.Perform any other duties as assigned by Director/ Asst. DirectorReport suspected abuse & neglect to supervisor immediately (within one hour).Safely provide transportation to participants on outings in the community, medical appointments if needed, volunteer assignments, and other scheduled community events.Shows compassion, builds rapport and encourages participants in order for them to develop into their full potential.Keeps participants on task and redirects focus.Works with staff throughout Mary Lee Foundation to meet the needs of each participant in day habilitation.*Responsibilities are not limited to the above list and may include other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor

We are looking for dedicated, honest, and responsible individuals to provide compassionate care and support to adults with developmental disabilities in your home and as a part of your family.

    We are actively seeking Host Home Providers for a female client with intellectual disability.

    Host Home Providers create a supportive, family-like environment, and supply all of the care needed for an adult in this program. Host Home Providers also assist with all activities of daily living 24 hours a day.

    Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour

    WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

    Individuals with a developmental disability are matched with Host Home Providers whom share the same interests and hobbies as the person seeking supports. The size of the home, all who live in the home (family size/kids/animals) and the location of the home are all influences on the match between the individual and the Host Home. If the candidate meets the necessary requirements and seems to be a good match we will run a background check, three year driving check, and Office of Inspector General checks. Successful candidates move on to the final stage where the individual supported and their guardian are offered meet and greets with the Host Home Candidate for assure good fit.

    REQUIREMENTS:
