Inpatient, OR and Call coverage
Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
EMR: EPIC
Credentialing: 45 days
Requirements
Education:
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
Licenses & Certifications:
Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Ohio
National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
Skills: Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures relevant to their specialty
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions
Time management skills to manage a patient workload efficiently
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a healthcare team
Experience:
While specific requirements may vary, most locum PA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty
Additional Notes: Locum tenens PA positions are temporary assignments, often lasting weeks or months, to address staffing shortages in hospitals, surgical centers or other healthcare facilities
