Job Summary
Mark Andy is looking for a results-driven Project Team Manager (PTM) to lead the execution of complex, custom capital equipment projects from pre-sale engagement through installation and customer startup. This role plays a key part in ensuring project success by coordinating across departments, managing customer expectations, and driving accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Each PTM partners with a dedicated Project Engineer and collaborates closely with Application Engineering, Custom Design Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Field Service. A strong engineering background, particularly in capital equipment, is essential for success in this role. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of capital equipment projects from sales handoff through installation and customer production startup.Ensure accuracy and completeness of all project phases, including press build, system testing, installation, training, and internal support through service handoffCollaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Custom Design teams to review order specifications and ensure alignment on performance requirements, including third-party equipment integration.Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules with clear milestones, responsibilities, and documentation.Drive consistent internal and external communication to set and manage expectations, provide status updates, and document key decisions.Facilitate regular cross-functional project meetings to monitor progress, manage risks, and drive accountability.Guide and oversee the design approach in coordination with engineering, ensuring technical feasibility and customer requirements are met.Define and support in-plant validation and press acceptance testing aligned with the project scope and timeline.Ensure timely resolution and closure of all internal and customer-facing action items.Travel to customer sites as needed for project reviews, milestone updates, and support during key phases of installation and acceptance.Required Skills and Abilities:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial, manufacturing or a related technical field.Minimum of 6 years of experience managing technical projects or programs, preferably in capital equipment, manufacturing, or industrial machinery.Background in printing, converting, or automated equipment industries is a strong plus.PMP certification is preferred but not required.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Build crates for domestic or foreign shipment; cuts lumber and plywood to various lengths and sizes to accommodate product.Electrically and mechanically disconnects and disassembles in-line presses into appropriate shipping sizes using hand tools, power tools, etc.Moves presses to the crating department using air float pads, forklift, pallet jack, etc.Crates customer orders and press parts to ship to correct destination.Inspects customer orders visually for damage prior to crating.Provides dimensions on customer orders and presses to the Shipping Coordinator.Attaches appropriate labels or stencils containing such information as shipping destination, weight, safety, handling, and type of product contained in crate.SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Assemble electrical and pneumatic components such as switches, relays, terminal blocks, wiring, air gauges, air lines, fitting, etc., into electrical sub-assemblies such as, control panels, printed circuit boards, counters, harnesses, registry boxes, etc.Assemble various components per engineering drawings by using schematics, point to point drawings and diagrams.Inspect components prior to assembly for visual defects and damages.Rework component if defect or damage is minor.Inspect and test sub-assemblies, after assembly, for proper electrical and pneumatic operation using test fixtures, where applicable.Troubleshoot sub-assemblies using schematics to locate wiring errors or defective componentsAssist engineering department in redesigning and building sub-assemblies for prototype pressesQualifications/ Skills Required

As a Controls Engineer, for Mark Andy Global Headquarters in Chesterfield, MO you will be responsible for successfully designing and developing control systems for custom OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). This role involves programming PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. The Controls Engineer will collaborate with mechanical and electrical design teams to integrate automation solutions, troubleshoot system issues, and optimize performance. Additional responsibilities include preparing documentation, supporting installation, and commissioning, and providing technical expertise throughout project lifecycles as well as contributing to production efficiency by evaluating performance and proposing and implementing improvements.
Schedule: M-F, 8 to 5, in office. No travel for this position.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform engineering design, development and problem-solving for equipment, manufacturing and supporting processes. Provides technical assistance in manufacturing and supporting processes as needed by internal customers.Manages relations with vendors to facilitate the specification and selection of vendor components. Demonstrate proficiency in PLC operation, integration, and programming and proficiency in GUI and high-level language programming. Be recognized for application of theoretical electrical and controls engineering knowledge and process understanding. Recognize, define, and develop new electrical/control system concepts. Provide designs that are manufacturable and meet safety standards. Completion of design documentation with minimal errors including part and assembly drawings, Bills of Materials, Specification sheets, Modification kits, schematics, point to point diagrams, harness diagrams, source code, and project files. Assume responsibility for designs valued greater than $500,000.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Demonstrated competency in design and use of engineering system tools. Familiar with Electrical codes such as NFPA-79, NEC, and EC standards. Branch circuit design. Understanding/competency with: PLCs / relay logic, motor controls, programming, GUI design.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.2 to 5 years of work experience in a related field.Proficient in computer-aided design and drafting software.Excellent communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to determine customer needs to develop project specifications and scope.Ability to interpret and implement specifications.What We Do:
